Cool. It does mean, the sites aren't down, just the frontpage or index.html is removed. It make me hope.

And I'm also glad to hear, XIII is alive.

Finally, this is the most important thing Smile
I love his imagination and his potential.

Agree. Good news in the meta world, even if it means VITD is gone (hope not).

@Toasty How did you find that again after all this time?

I have a really good memory. Very Happy

No, seriously if you have cached web files back far enough, they usually have the address they were pulled from stored as part of the file information and you can use that to see if they are still there. In this case however, ever since Con08 I've been using a utility that can track website changes and it had the info I needed.

When I read posts like that I start to get the feeling that I am the only one around here without an advanced degree in cyber-engineering.

Well, I think the assets are still there, which was also (and I believe still is) the case with the Con08 sites. For example:

is still there as I write this.

Personally, I think the hosting is down because something isn't paid. If you don't pay, they probably don't remove your site (that would suck) but they just probably move your index.html so the site isn't accessible. That's my experience.

Hmm do we have new info here..... http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/04/14/mowatsheppard.html

Its the Sea Shepard organization again... Just Kidding, heard about this on the radio on my way into work this morning and immediately thought of this.

In that case Fish, I may have some real estate you may be interested in... its situated over the river and has large open breezy spaces and great views, although it can get a bit noisy during rush hour. Razz

My website monitors have been going off this week for these sites, but mainly due to Moonfruit maintenance messages. When actually viewing the sites, they still appear to be gone, and now the Geocaching site is gone as well. That leaves only the blog left.

My only thoughts at this point are that IF this is suppoesed to be a "Find the PM" type of game now, then we really havent been given anything at all to work with. Sadly I think something has caused the game to end. (Funding Problems Perhaps?)

I'm going to unsticky this, since, unfortunately, it appears to have imploded.
