Looks like him natas. But, the video screenshot looks like he must be many years older.

The whaling idea came from the video of the Sea Shepherd harrassing/being harrased by a Japanese whaling vessel. Japanese coast guard was onboard the vessel and threw flash bangs or something at the Sea Shepherd vessell "Steve Irwin".

If you look back several pages, where someone pointed out the source of the video, you'll see it wasn't the coast guard throwing flashbangs, but the Sea Shepherd crew throwing stink bombs filled with acid at the coast guard.

Observation.

The uniform does not match the time period wherein Tanaka served as an Admiral in the IJN.

Is an Imperial Japanese historian in the house?

I'd agree with that, uniform seems different too.

EDIT: unless was just older and higher rank, but still, they look different to me Confused

I agree with Fish.

Also, the coast guard guys definitely throw stuff at the Sea Shepherd. I realize that the enviro-pirates were throwing acid at the ship first, but I don't recall seeing that part in the video. Just the Japanese guys throwing things.

Book again

kosmopol wrote:
Wow, let's try to solve with the pages we have
hmm... we have:
omarih**nns***ski*******

acording that edition.

Omar? A name?..

UPDATE: I can slightly recall Omar in one book of Jules Verne...

Unless the Wordsworth edition is a photocopy lift of the Routledge it won't work.

The title page shown on the Jules Verne site is from the "Every Boy's Library" edition, but it might still work... But really, 1887- c. 1900-1910 is a LONG time for trays of type to hang around. They're usually broken as soon as the book is published. While version of offset and linotype printing existed at this time, the first wasn't in wide use, and the hot metal would probably have been melted down for reuse if that was the route. But Routledge was a fairly well respected and long lived publisher (they still exist) and would almost certainly have used letter press. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Routledge

We need the edition, most likely. Crap. Book ciphers are supposed to be easily available, something the agent can pick up at the local newsstand/bookstore. Or, they're supposed to already have it.

Hey Kosmo, you might try this if we can't find a copy. "That book was lost in transit. Need new cipher tool." But that has risks for exposing yourself, so I'd hold off until absolutely necessary.

No joy on the pdf search BTW.

<meta> There's only like 200 editions of this in print. sigh. </meta>
