The link doesn't work right, just click OK and find the book at the bottom.

I would suggest making screenshots of what we find? So that noone will get confused Smile

I just took a screenshot of the page where I think I found the book:

Unfortunaly this place isn't really near me, so I don't know if I can get it... Sad

No good babe, we need a Routledge edition and that one is from Scribner and Sons.

Awww Sad

I wouldn't have been able to get a hold of it anyway, I don't live near there Smile

or maybe the entire point of this game is to chap my ass! Razz

Srsly, I love the book parts of a game, I'm a librarian fer crissakes, but they do have to be attainable. It may have been more effective to choose an edition, for example, that has an actual year attached to it.

SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC

ok slight tangent here but on...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_Center_of_the_Earth

One of the first things that is mentioned is the cryptology content of the book, due to it being the start of the plot. Just figured it might be something to look out for later. The runic characters etc. that is.

This book has become the Holy Grail of the literary world.

For all we know, this book has the Olympics' "lost ring" in it...

I think the Olympics will be hosted in an alternate reality housed within the confines of the pages or something. Only way I can see it being worth it Razz

Hmmm... Does anyone own the documentary all of Ilya's screenshots are coming from?

Because, if not, my friend suggested that someone should try emailing the guy that wrote the summary in that IMDB link Toasty gave us, and ask about the significance of these shots (If any.). Even though he's clearly OOG, it might be helpful Very Happy

And of course, by "someone" I mean someone that's not me XD

Yeah our library has it, but it's checked out. See if this link works. It's due back April 2.

Book Record

Anyone can search our library at https://libcat.tamu.edu

I've personally looked at every copy that the TAMU library owns except those in Cushing Library (not Routledge) and the 19xx version that is checked out.

I really wouldn't be surprised.

Come to think of it, this book may contain:

Heath Ledger
The "Olympics" lost ring
Our answer
Every digit of pi
The holy grail
The Cloverfield Monster
The whole script of Lost season 6
Tom (myspace Tom)
and Joshua (=D)

[META]I do hope the PM remembered to return that book after his little photo shoot *Hint hint, XIII.* Razz

I jest, I jest.[/meta]

Also, @Scott: That book is probably a log of all the places Waldo and Carmen Sandiego have been.

I suppose, it's OOG, but the PDFs properties tell me something:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Author: KV
Company: Texas A&M University
[/META]

P.S. Ok, perhaps, it was semi-meta, because KV is the same signature as in that document.

This was said on page three.

Hey, guys can we either make the links into tinyurls... www.tinyurl.com or put them in the [url=]...[/url] tags so we don't stretch the page out

It's really annoying.

I issued a recall for the book. For the reason I wrote: "I need to examine the book for 15 minutes to find random letters on random pages to decode a cipher that might lead us to Steve Irwin."
