[RING][BLOG] Mysterious Comment

Still asking questions?
I am very disappointed in you Ariadne.
After all we taught you, you still can't remember?

Search your mind...clear all your doubt and you will know.
Still stumped? Look at the "Goggles"...do those look like something from the age of the Olympic games? Don't you think the fabric of the jumpsuit is just a little too complex for that era?

You need to stop asking these questions. Find your answers if you must...but keep them to yourself. This little cult you are amassing will only end in disaster.

We are watching.

Is this for real?

It's on the goggles post in Ariadne's blog, the last comment, made on the 18th. Maybe we should be checking the other comments - I have to admit, I just skimmed them before. Maybe that was a mistake...

joeyhess found this post in the forums on Ariadne's blog a few days ago by someone who calls themselves "Peripatetic":

Quote:
Some of you are on the right track. We have been watching you.

Some aren't, some are

Some know, some don't

We walk

We stroll

(can be found here: http://forums.findthelostring.com/message/1239#1239)

I'm wondering now if this is the same person(s), and if this is really part of the game.

Also take a look at this definition of Peripatetic in wikipedia.

Re: troll

I will bet any sum of money anyone wishes to wager that this is just an attempted game-jacking. I intend to ignore it, and encourage others to do the same.

I do not think so (but do not bet Smile) The comments on the blogs will only appear if they are confirmed by the owner of the blog. At least that is how I understand the message I got after I have written a comment. So the comments are somewhat "PM proved".

Strange. I have posted a comment, and it appeared immediately, without any indication that it needed any sort of approval.

That is really strange. I tried it actually and I get this after klicking "Post comment"

Thanks for posting your comment! I love hearing from you guys, but I want to keep things kind of focused, so don't be upset if I don't post every single one.

perhaps she simply trusts you and not me Smile

Or perhaps she's changed it since I last posted -- lately I've been using the forums instead. Hmm.

sounds like we should check the blog comments of the other athletes too.

"we", of course, being someone other than me, who can read the other languages...

Forum comments appear immediately, blog comments were moderated. Was this mysterious comment on a blog or the forum?

re:

one of each. The comment by "Peripatetic" was in the forum, and the comment about Ariadne's goggles was on her blog.

My philosophy is this: if it is important, it will come up again, or Ariadne will comment on it, or it will somehow be referred to. For now, I agree that ignoring it is best. "Some of you are on the right track and some of you aren't"? Well, gee, mystery poster, that's really helpful...tell us something we don't know Wink. "After all we taught you, you still can't remember?" Well, if you were really the ones that taught her, you should have expected her to be affected by Lethe/amnesia when she came to this world...so I think you aren't really who you are claiming to be. I really think it's some poser. Let's carry on ignoring it until such time as we get an indication from a known character that it is actually important.
