Our journey to Create the Omphalos

I guess one knot=1 chapter=1 artifact location...which somewhat matches the theory a couple of us had a long time ago about the earth becoming an omphalos.

Just so it doesn't get lost, Jasper wrote in a thread above about a conversation he'd had with Ariadne:

Quote:
She says Markus has been investigating the Cardiff pick up location and has something to tell us. He found something "VERY odd" and he will be posting about it.

Ariadne says:
"anyway we think the artifact locations might be more meaningful than we realized
more information than we have been realizing"

I don't remember...I know we've mapped the omphaloi, but has anyone mapped all the artifact locations in a worldwide map yet?

The name at the bottom of the postcard looks like 'Mabel' to me. No idea who this person would be or what this tells us though...

You can find them at top-left and bottom-right in his page.

The last map, this one seems to be done in some kind of fine, transparent paper... maybe to overlay it on other maps?

There are 3 labyrinths in the left side...

You can see how the map appears to be 3 discontinuous segments. My guess is that the left side of the map, nearest the labyrinths, is Lake Huron (left), Lake Eerie (bottom), with Ontario as the land in between and the bottom tip of Lake Ontario jutting to the right of this land. If this is right, the other segments, center and right, seem to be something else pasted over top. The center section looks a lot like the eastern side of Michigan flipped backwards (and pasted in the wrong spot), with the west side of Lake Huron jutting into the land.

Ariock created a google map here, but some of the newer omphaloi have not been added.

Edit - actually after closer inspection, it looks like it has all the recent ones.

So now we have two sets of 6 coordinates, which might mean we can guess the shifts and rotations of supercontinents in the six world-types.

Interesting technique for hiding a labyrinth in plain site on the Philly map, building it out of the streets surrounding city hall.

"nook no. 16" -- Wonder if we'll find codex chapter 16 there?

Hmmm...And exactly how many wall-players would we need for that?

The rightmost section is a partial map of Missouri's western edge, with Arkansas at the bottom and Kansas and Oklahoma on the left and Iowa on top.

Brilliant...So the obvious question is, WHY? Do these align at all with another geographical form of the world? Just looking quickly at the other forms, I can't see how it would.

Monica has posted a quite big message to Diego's forum. the posted images have not the same good resolution than those posted by Tenchizard. Unfortunately I cannot understand it. So perhaps someone can translate.

I also set up a new wiki page for the information on Monica's photos

I think you would probably just walk the streets.

I'd not want to do it blindfolded. Smile

That's Warren Ohio (where the postcard is postmarked).

Warren PA is approx 100 miles away.
