Advertising Age magazine Digital A-List
the top ten of new media includes ARG

I came across the new issue of Advertising Age at a friends office, and happened to notice a few familiar names in their "Digital A-List" (but i didn't catch an explanation of exactly what the category means; I think it's ad agencies using digital media)

* The 'Cloverfield' viral web campaign came in at number ten:
Quote:
"Cloverfield" wasn't just unique in its obliqueness; it was also a chancy experiment that an immersive online marketing experience could well become an obsessive one.

* AKQA at number 2, recognized for their interactive experiences, such as the "Believe" campaign for Halo 3 and the "Iris" ARG:
Quote:
an interactive narrative that used media such as newspaper circulars, conspiracy street teams and coded ringtones to give fans clues about the story line. AKQA's bet on the lengths to which gamers will go to crack a puzzle paid off
