Ok back on the bandwagon after disappearing once watching Cloverfield lol.

First I assumed the numbers were 410 because normally the zero has a line through it such as in the pic. - Maybe meaning 4/10 (April 10th?) but now I'm not so sure.

And also, I may have just skipped it... But nobody seems to be referring to the multiple other pics which have surfaced on 01-18-08.com

I know I'm about nine pages late in saying this, but I'd read a theory on IMDB concerning time issues. Essentially, the idea is that in the movie world, the attack happened on the 22nd of May, 2009, and that in the ARG world, the attack happened on the 18th of January, 2008. The poster supported this with the comment on Rob's MySpace, the quote by Douglas Adams that says "Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so".

Basically, the point being that there are two different timelines that are the same in events if not in dates, and link at times, if that makes any sense.

Personally, I'm just waiting and hoping to be able to figure something out about this game, since the Batman game has totally passed me by due to living in the middle of nowhere.

Good day everyone! First I'd like to say I've been following along with
your work since last July, but didn't have any free time to actively participate
until now. First and foremost, amazing job guys and gals. You sure are

ingenious when it comes to putting the pieces together.

Having said that, here's what my thoughts are. The latest video flashes red cryptic messages twice (still don't know why). However, I am surprised they have been brushed off. Indeed, they may remind you of Tolkien's writings, BUT... He created the fictional writing based upon historical alphabet, the runes. Now, the Runic
alphabets are a set of related alphabets using letters (known as runes)
formerly used to write Germanic languages before and shortly after the Christianization of Scandinavia and the British Isles. Makes sense, since the video is in German (look "runes" up on Wikipedia for more details).
Also, considering that writings on peoples' t-shirts look German to me, it'be safe to assume that the "daylight" part of the clip takes place in Germany. As far as the rest of the clip I can't tell.

It could be anywhere in the world but it just may happen that the person filming was with a group of German-speaking people (TIDO team?).

Next thing, the title of the clip translates to "Extract from volume 4, s.g. Dec(ember) 08 n. And." (that is, assuming "Dez" in the original title is an abbreviation for "Dezember" - December in German. Sounds
Cloverfield-ish enough for me.

Next, back the runes. If translated word-by word, as someone has already noted, it translates to "apail". The only meaning for that I know is that A.P.A.I.L. is a medical abbreviation for "Abrasion, Puncture, Avulsion, Incision, Laceration" (types of open wounds) - Google it.
Doesn't make much sense in our context, at least not to me.

What people seem to overlook, is the fact that runes are connected to ancient lore and have been used in an esoteric and occult fashion to do "readings" with the purpose of predicting the future.
The SS Troops of Hitler used the Sigil rune (Victory rune) for their uniforms.
There are many sources that interpret meanings for each rune, but the website that offers a simpler, easier to understand interpretation is located here:

which at this point one may consider as a message from JJ (Or, TIDO, if you consider the ARG)

In the light of this game, they actually make sense.


First rune (and for some reason, the third one as well):
"The Messenger Rune"
The answers to questions are available but not yet recognized. Look for signs and confirmations which are all around. Everything has significance and appreciation of this will lead to understanding. Ensure you don't ignore the message because you don't like the content. All experience is a lesson that teaches by acknowledging the truth knowledge and wisdom will increase.


Second rune:
"The Rune of Chance, Mystery and Science"
You always have a choice in everything. No-one can upset you, you can only choose to be upset. No-one can exert power over you unless you choose to subject yourself to it. Claim your right to choice. Don't allow others to compromise your truth or prevent you from doing what you need to do. The only danger here is not to make a choice, to leave things to fate and have no say in your own future.


Third rune, the same as the first one.


Fourth rune:
"The Ice Rune"
A period of non-action is indicated. Do not let yourself get into a rut. Do not take anyone for granted. Be not afraid to show your feelings. Crossing water will be beneficial. Things appear to be at a standstill and this is not a time to try to force movement. Patience and wisdom are called for. This is not the time to abandon goals, but an opportunity to reaffirm them. This is a time for contemplation and preparation, not despondency or regrets. Things will change as surely as winter changes to spring and then summer.


Finally, the fifth rune:
"The Ocean Rune"
Only by attunement to creation will your life truly flow as it is meant to. Emotional balance comes from harmony with creation around you. For example, natural foods lead to natural flow, whereas unnatural foods lead to disharmony and stagnation. The sea is always fluid and moving, so it should be with your life. Embrace change itself, for it is the only true constant in life.

Don't know how (and if) these can be connected/interpreted ( IF the video is not a fake). One wild guess would be that considering the public outcry for the continuation of the ARG, JJ has put together a quick "hack" to keep us interested. Hence a really short, amateurish-looking clip. In my insane mind, I can consider that each rune stands for our instructions (see rune meanings/directions above) for each month starting in April (I believe that's when the clip was found). So far it adds up - new picture found in April on 1-18-08, the "sword"-looking logos on all confirmed IG sites, so who knows... Then comes a period of silence (July). Perhaps, having a basic backstory, they're trying to see where we want the movie to go and write the script accordingly... 5 months puts us in August. That can give them enough time to start filming around the end of the summer. Then again, I'm pretty bad with time lines. Not my thing.

Still not sure about "Aladygma". Could be IG, could be OG. We need more info. I do have some ideas, but it's to early to make them public (considering the insanity of my current post, this may be never). The whois record shows the site is German, though. Plus the Clovie roar... I guess time will show.

Please forgive me for such a long post, as it is my first one and I have way too many things going through my head right now. Trout me if you will (I didn't use the search function).

I'm so confused considering the vido was supposedly found in Janury of 2008 (01-18-08?) and would therefore mean the situation took place the May before that; right? [Unless time travel's somehow involved 0.o]

I thought the whole mix-up of the date came around when someone saw the notices at the film W.R.A.P party?
