I agree as well. The monster may still be controled by kishin or has memories of kishin. But i don't get one thing people say the monster attacked to city randomly. was it really randomly? It looked to me as the monster was more being attacked by the military and tried to get away from them maybe then they really angered it and it decided to start attacking them. Another question, What about rob? I'm not sure but it seemed to pop out where he was maybe rob is Kishin? Not literally but in a sense. Like hes got the pod?

I doubt this, because the monster would have protected Rob rather than get him killed under a bridge.

True but the military kept it pretty distracted and it never did attack rob. Maybe it was trying to protect him we dont know what happen at the end maybe it did because we still hear them they dont seem like they are buried under the stone. Maybe at that last minte it sheilded them? Then again prolly not just a theroy. Would be awsome if it did.

I don't think Rob had the Splinter (sorry, I like that better than Pod... I hear Pod and I think iPod and Clover could not use a tiny iPod becasue it's a giant monster XD). Rob is just a guy. He was just the main character in the movie becauxe it was his going away party, you know?
I believe the fouth chapter of the manga will show up how the movie and manga are connected, or atleast give us enough hints that we may keep meeting here for months to discuss our theories. XD

c'mon.... if you're at the bottom of the sea for a thousand years, you'd be just as caught-up in trends than anyone. clovie had an ipod shuffle, and you know it. full of "journey" songs....
"took a midnite train, goin' annnyyyywheeerrrreeee".

Why do white people love Journey so much?
You put it on randomly at a party, and we congregate into drunken circles and sing about singers in smoky rooms and midnight trains and all kinds of crap.

Something slightly less likely that popped into my head while I was speculating on the pod and the satellite (see posts in apropo threads)
The 'pod' is the pure dsn or it's source. It looks enough like a lotus or flower for them to use that icon to repesent it in the ads. The 'Kishin' for NY is Jaime who basically ate the pod over a couple days. We never see her riding on clover's head because she's still passedt ou in Rob's apartment. This may in fact annoy MGP to know end, causing him to stomp up and down the island in a hissy fit.

I am sorry, but I just do not think the Pod/Splinter of Amnion has anything to do with Sea Bed Nectar. Like kosmo said, I think it was on the last page, it was withing the Sea Bed Nectar that the Splinter was found.

In regards to the Amnion and Jamie eating the nectar... If the Pod/Splinter really is part of the amniotic sac/fluid that the monster was gestating in, it's safe to say he has long since hatched so, the remaining nectar that Jamie ate probably would not have any connection to the monster at this point.

white people AND giant monsters love journey. it's just a given.
they've still got to explain the pod. and why in the hell there's a gigantic monster sleeping on the sea floor. is the pod organic? mechanical? is clover an alien? i'm hoping the manga explains any of this. don't get me wrong, i'm thrilled with how it's going, but i was still hoping to have at least a couple solid answers. i guess i won't "stop beleeeeiiivviinnnn"
we'll have to wait on 4, i suppose.

where is this "amniotic fluid" theory coming from? did i miss something? if it's just because it's called the "splinter of AMNION", then that theory is a little bit far-fetched.

Yeah the only reason I say this about the Amnion is because the literal definition is:
Amnion: A thin membrane surrounding the fetus during pregnancy. The amnion is the inner of the two fetal membranes (the chorion is the outer one). It contains the amniotic fluid.
This would imply the Amnion was present in the monster's development during gestation...
But if the manga uses Amnion in a less LITERAL sense... well my theory is worthless...
