Well, Pastry Wars didn't reach the projected 49 pages before the ARG started (2 pages short!). However, given the number of pages in the Meta thread, I think we can call it even. Trains filled with Twinkies and Ho-Hos really can make it. Wink

"I thought I could, I thought I could."
And make that one page short.

We've been playing a game on IRC in #pastry recently and I wanted to advertise it here, because the more players the more fun it is. If you've ever played mafia this will look slightly familiar:

#pastry wrote:
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Cookies, you now have 30 seconds to vote for the person you would like to see lynched! Type '/msg PastryChef vote <player>' to cast your vote. Votes are non retractable!
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Azure has voted for Zorgano!
[5:18pm] <desert> yeah thanks Azure
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Zorgano has voted for Azure!
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Highwind has voted for Zorgano!
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Darren has voted for zorgano!
[5:18pm] <Highwind> Sorry Zorg
[5:18pm] <Zorgano> you'll regret this
[5:18pm] <desert> but it's only 5pm here, bed isnt' for another 3 hours.... but i guess i should get the dinner vittles taken care of.
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Tallying Votes...
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Realising the angry pastry mafia is turning, Zorgano tries to run, but is quickly seized upon. Zorgano is thrown onto the kitchen table, and a human readies his fork. But there is a dull crunch, and Zorgano is bit in two. The silent cookies quickly realise their grave mistake...
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> Zorgano, the Cookie, is eaten!
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> As the moon rises, the pastry mafia dissipates, returning to their homes and settling into an uneasy sleep. But in the pale moonlight, something stirs...
[5:18pm] <PastryChef> HoHo, you have 60 seconds to decide who to attack. To make your final decision type '/msg PastryChef kill <player>'
[5:18pm] <Azure> lol
[5:18pm] <Darren> oops
[5:19pm] * Zorgano silently gasps his last words "...Rosebud...."
[5:19pm] <Azure> yep good idea desert
[5:19pm] <Highwind> lol
[5:19pm] <desert> hahahh! rosebud!
[5:19pm] * @Azure doesn't get it
[5:19pm] <Highwind> Film ref
[5:19pm] * Darren stares blankly
[5:19pm] <PastryChef> The cookies gather the next morning in the kitchen center, but Azure does not appear. The cookies converge on Azure's cupboard and find only crumbs in their bed. After carrying the crumbs to the sink, the cookies, now hysterical, return to the kitchen center to decide how to retaliate...
[5:19pm] <PastryChef> Azure, the Cookie, has become someone's dessert!
[5:19pm] <PastryChef> Having successfully deceived the rest of the cookie's population, Highwind the HoHo, breaks into the final cookie's home and feeds them to the human. Highwind cackles madly, before setting off to the next kitchen...
[5:19pm] <PastryChef> Congratulations, Highwind! You win!

I know that here at uF there has long been a pastry to represent the Shadows in Darkness, and that many had longed for something to represent the Beams of Light. They were of course given the delicious but obscure stroopwafel:
Stroopwafel
However, this just never seemed to invoke the real sense of what it is to be a Beam of Light. It lacks the subtle beauty and grace, the lighter more airy nature of the sublime beams of light. It is for this reason I give you...
The Kruller!

There was something wonderful brewing in the world when Krullers were created...

But there is the question of why they are not this big.

Whoops. Above post was me, and then of course when I back out to the boards, I see that this thread isn't related to BoL/SiD anymore.

Yes, I feel retarded.

No worries. On the plus side you don't have to read 48 pages of twinkies vs. hohos to catch up...
