Question about in game forum

I think it's bad etiquette to "hack" Ariadne's profile or anyone elses
-not unless the situation calls for it or there's a big hint out there that we have to.

Just my 2 cents.

The weird thing is that occasionally when I visit Aridane's forums, it will display a popup window prompting for a username and password. This is not the login form used to log in to the forums though.

I've been assuming the web server is a little bit misconfigured. Technically, this popup box is for a HTTP basic authentication request. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_access_authentication) Which few websites use for anything anymore.

Anyway, if you see that box and don't want to try to "hack" it, you can just hit cancel.

i didnt want to 'hack' anyones profile. but just view it. it would make sense that any forum would have a members page. which trying to access throws up the log in box.

in relation to joey's question ive also had thing pop up several times

I've run into the same pop up and it's pretty persistent sometimes. I think it might be a hint in itself. We shouldn't try to "hack" it, but if anyone "happens" upon the login info, no reason not to.

the forum just went down and I get this error when I access the home page, probably Kai is fixing the login issue right now.

There's this word Kaibigan in Tagalog which means friend, just thought I'd let you know Wink

I think that the password prompt might be related to Ariadne's profile. Since it always asks you for one when you try to view it, something on the main page could be making a call to that profile and then prompting us as viewing website.

I dunno, it's really annoying. If it's intentional, we need to deal with it. If it's accidentally, they need to deal with it.

The only means of communicating with Kai that I know is through his accounts also, the ones you have mentioned.

I hesitated because, what if it is indeed a clue to "hack" it?, asking him about it would be like spoon feeding.

Then again, I don't see any solid IG reason to "hack" the profile, not unless its a sekrit counter-agonothethai mission.. Shifty Eyes

I just noticed that the login popup only shows when it goes through the babel translate. It doesn't show when you access the site directly.

Can you check if it's the same on your end? If it's persistent, babel translate or not, then we can inform him about it through his facebook.

when it has happerned to me, ive used my google bookmark link straight to the site.

also this still happerns when you try and access her profile anyone on the forum or the full forum member list.
