The "One nine of a month yet unknown" sounds like the release date is the 19th of some month. I'm struggling to see any other clues in the limericks myself.

do you guys get different limericks on refreshing?

Yes, that is all new.
The cap letters should eventually mean something, as they aren't really needed, you get the same randomness now no matter what you enter in their place. So far I get in order (if it matters):
ET LL SA TH

The release date is listed as July 11th, so I don't what to make of the numbers that are alluded to, one guess is 14 and 19.

The limericks changed twice in two days, so this may move along.

Possible numbers from the first two:
Quarter moon =7 days (rounded)
Unite as one (1)
So on a stretch the numbers could be 7 1 14 19

Pure spec here, but the 14 is SA and the 19 is TH, which if you take them as days of the week would make this June. Of course that doesn't account for the ET and LL. Smile

Yes, and if you try for an image that doesn't exist, you get alt-text I suppose. Looks like you just get the HTML again, but since the img ref is relative, it doesn't display.

For example:
http://hetfet.org/img/img/foo.jpg

Anti-hacking measures?

Found new Limerick

I typed randomness into the general address (where the stars are):
http://hetfet.org/img/img/**.jpg
and I got this poem/limerick.

Quote:
An abomination has been done, the wheels of motion have spun, A quarter moon past, Time hath gone fast, Our countdown has begun

It seems if you type any two letters where the stars are, then you get a certain limerick or poem.

Could be.
We were playing around with these:
http://hetfet.org/img/splash-HETFET-04.jpg
and they've been randomized too.

any 404 error is returning a random entry of the four-part lymeric thus far.
any request to hetfet is returning a standard html page with a random image. If you use subfolders, the HTML src for the image won't read the correct image because the reference is relative - all the images are in /img/* not any other subfolder.

ie, if you put in /img/img/img/foo/foobar.foo, you'll still get the html, but there is no /img/img/img/foo/img/LL.jpg for instance. There is, however, a /img/LL.jpg. So viewing /foobar.foo will give you a visually correct hetfet HTML page.

if you followed all that, *clap* Wink

ETA: I also just checked all combinations of [A-Z][A-Z].jpg, and these are still the only four available.

Thanks for the lowdown Bruce. That sounds a little bit better than the hi tech term of "being randomized" Smile

New Limerick

Holy explicit easy-to-interpret clues Batman! I think we're supposed to be keeping an eye out tomorrow - there's a new limerick on the site:

'Four out of twelve leads the way,
Twenty less one points the day,
Of primary concern,
For thou to learn,
Fine creatures in dire dismay.'

Four out of twelve - I'm assuming that's months, so April. Twenty less one (19) points the day.

April 19th.

I guess if it's RO then you get 'Save the troll'.

The 19th, tomorrow, is the night before the full moon, too. Which is interesting only b/c the first quarter was mentioned in one of the limericks. ("A quarter moon past/ Our time runneth fast")

Hi, by the way.

yeah that pretty much locks it in... who tends to call him "Troll"? the site could be related to him/her/them

release: July 11 (7/11 - numbers to remember perhaps)

so in chronological order, pairs released have been:

* ET LL SA TH VE
ET = An Abomination...
LL = Rise up...
SA = A very dark day...
TH = From light...
VE = Four out of twelve...

numbers related to the lyrics:
ET - quarter moon past (1/4, could be referring to April?)
LL - unite as one? (1, otherwise insignificant?)
SA - five plus one less than a dime (10-(5+1)=4, April)
TH - one nine of a month yet unknown (19, of April)
VE - four out of 12, twenty less than 1 (4, April; 19th of April)

RO?

the lyrics all just seem to be indicating the 19th of April (obviously) in some manner... so as the first lyric says, "the countdown has already begun". Probably nothing new with the lyrics at all (ie RO may just indicate the same thing) until the countdown ends, tomorrow.

It had better not just become an a big giant ad for the movie Razz
