Double post to update.
Woke to find a short cryptic message from my old University friend in Hong Kong. It's unclear as to whether she made the pickup or not. Have replied asking for further details, and will update on the matter once she gets back to me. We may need to try and get someone else to Art Jamming this weekend.
[META] I started to panic a bit about this, until I realised that the nature of these games is tackling a combination of Alternative Reality challenges AND Real Reality challenges. My goodness... I'm starting to view the real world as a game too.

Hmm...Maybe if you let her know that thousands of people are waiting for her?

Heh...Reminds me of the days I used to play the Sims, and every time I talked to someone I'd imagine a thought bubble over their heads.

Yeah, I did my best to communicate that in my email...

Heh... I still try spinning around beside my bed every now and then to change into my pajamas. Still hasn't ever worked.

Although my friend has a friend in HK, it seems we'd better wait, because pickuppers had better look around for something related to FTLR.
Yesterday my friend sent an e-mail to his friend asking whether he is still in HK, but so far no replies!

Wow, the place is like above the country where I live in, so close but yet so far..
Anyways, I just lurk every now and then so forgive me for asking this ridiculous question, but is there a villain in this ARG that does bad things to the characters (/and/or/players)?

You know, there's suspicion about a couple of the characters, but so far our main problem is trying to save the world from collapsing in on itself - in other words, nobody has revealed themselves as the villain...yet.
As far as I know, people suspect that Eli Hunt has secret motives that may not be helpful to our main characters, and people are worried about Kai as well, because he happened to be where Ariadne was recovering in the hospital, and they think it's more than a coincidence.
However, only time will tell!

What about Theo? I'd say he's pretty villainous.

Whoops! You're right. For bryanflurry, here's what we know about Theo so far (via the wiki ):
Quote:
* On March 24, Ariadne reported in her blog that someone had broken into her room and stolen the Cardiff artifact. The intruder left behind a warning message on a postcard, signed Theo.
* Is Theo the same as the Theodosius described in the trailers as the Roman Emperor who banned the original Olympic Games in 393 AD?
He totally slipped my mind... I guess because I don't have a face/voice to put to the name! Sorry about that.

A quick update on this before I head to bed - the Hong Kong pickup has been made, but we don't have the code yet.
I'll explain the bizarre details of the situation tomorrow.

I think it's a phrase written in Esperanto, help with translation?
Looking at the properties, it's been taken by a nokia phone (very popular cellphone brand in here) and probably it was cropped using Adobe Photoshop CS3.
