1) Tanker looks seriously tossed. Half its bow is sticking out of the water.

2) What makes you assume Teddy was on the ship in the first place?

yeah it really does. i remember a couple months ago on another forum ppl discussing what the explosion was from. And about assuming Teddy was on the ship im pretty sure i read that spec in another topic on this forums.

He could have made it out alive.
By the time we see the news report the tanker could've been capsized for up to 15-20 minutes. We don't know what struggle took place before the capsizing either.
If Teddy was a captive on the ship during the initial attack, then that would've been a convenient distraction for his captors.
He either could've jumped from the ship when they first saw the monster or he could've escaped once it capsized.
IMO that's why we get a clear shot of the Tagruato logo on the ship. It's an easter egg. This ties in the TIDOwave/Teddy/Tagruato storyline.

We know that Teddy was captured by Tagruato.

I see where your coming from, but thats quite the amount of physical work for such a scronny person thats a part of an apparent tree hugging group. not to mention the distance from the tanker to land, from the point of land he washed up on to the bridge. I think the reason that the Tag tanker was there was to drop off their shipments of slusho. This is the exact quote from the Slusho.jp distrubution opportunities page.:

We will send representatives and scientists who will train you on how to operate our machine, and preserve the flavor of our special ingredient, Seabed's Nectar!! And what is more, we will have the special flavor tasties delivered bi-weekly, right to your storefront!!!

Also if that is why its here it means that it got FDA approval. Wasnt there also an update on the tagruato page saying that slusho was finally approved in NA?

Yup found the page here. Tag did get it oked for sale in us. So that may be why the tanker was there in the first place.

Also, it's not as simple as it sounds to swim from Liberty Island, which is a mile away from land, walk up on shore, then make your way to the bridge.

Besides, if he knew what it was, why would he head topside to broad daylight? I'd be hiding in a basement in Jersey.

I don't think the creators/whoever actually thought it through, since they didn't figure you guys would actually be over-analyzing EVERYTHING.

Considering that Lost has been out for 3 seasons before cloverfield was released, and that having huge success and having ARG's for that. Im almost positive that the creators thought of the fans overanalyzing everything. Thats the reason why we cant link 2 and 2 still. because there is important linking info not put out to the public yet.

I found the page that says seabeds necter got approved and i edited it in my other post

that's old news. abotu the seabed nectar

Supefuzzz - if you have nothing nice to say don't say it. Your retard moments, thanks to your cracked-out Mom, are pointless and offer nothing to the existance of humanity.

the reason you can't put two and two together is because there isn't anything to put together.

There's a bridge in the movie? Laughing

Yeah, there's got to be something to this. I hope we'll find out how all this connects soon. Maybe CloverfieldFiles? And i'm still wondering, if that IS Teddy on the bridge, what is he doing right there, at that time? Wouldn't they know who he was and/or looked like? Well, maybe Hud wouldn't.

Teddy knows Jamie.
Jamie only knows Lily.
No one from the party knows Teddy.

I just looked at the pics again and two things:
-Both guys have the same 5:00p goatee shadow.
-Teddy on the bridge has black soot on his face or dirt, which either means that he is dirty from being in captivity for so long or he was close to the explosion.
