I have the imression than this dream me show the way but I include not the message. Or do I have to go? can somebody how use the code of Omphalos?

Apologies for the terrible translation - if someone can PM me a better one I'll edit this post.

Paris hosted the 1924 Olympics - using Rogi's handy-dandy Omphalos calculator I end up at the West Bank, between Israel and Palestine...

Any other thoughts on this new development?

I got the same location (between Amman Jordan and Jerusalem). I sent her a comment on her blog telling her that...

Hmmmm... that would put it not far from Jerusalem - another "navel of the world", along with Cuzco, Peru in South America, and the omphalos in Delphi, Greece...

Working on it bit by bit (utilising every part of my rudimentary French skills), and tidying up Lucie's abominable grammar and playing with her spelling, I get...

Quote:
Last night, I had a truly strange dream; I always have very clear dreams filled with messages, but this one is beyond me - it is very clear, but I do not understand it... however, it looks important and it is absolutely necessary that I decipher it. Help me!

I was in an Olympic stadium in France but it was a very, very long time ago. Everyone was wearing strange clothes from the Twenties. I saw a net* on top of a stone, and when I lifted it up, there was an inscription on the stone that said: "17794 Hestia 4 degrees".

I recall without any doubt to have seen that [Better English is:] There is no doubt that I saw that, but that is all that I remember.

I know that I must leave some part**, since [spec] for quite some time I've been thinking I should further our mission - there are some places it still cannot reach. Being Chariton, I think that it is my duty to widen the horizon of our mission. It is necessary that I look further. I think that this dream is showing me the way, but I don't understand its message. Where do I have to go? Can somebody use the code of the Omphalos?

How did I do?

*interestingly, a filet is indeed a net, but a filetage is threading or thread.
** this confuses me. It could just be 'part', or it could be shorthand 'part.' as in particulier; private, particular, special, characteristic...? I think the whole sentence is actually supposed to say I know that I must leave/go somewhere.
[spec] I've started taking liberties with this bit, 'cos I think this is what she meant to say even if babelfish and Lucie's grammar disagrees with me.

Can somebody please post a map of where this point was plotted? I might be able to help pinpoint exactly where it is.

Locations based on the generic "Paris" coordinates.

Technically, using 185m/stade (3292km), it's in the Central District midway between Netanya and Tulkarem.

But I've found that a lot of the adding a degree or two on azimuths between 0 and 180 sometimes gives a better result. So Tel Aviv or Jerusalem are still possibilities.

Edit: Grammar.

I don't know if it matters, but based on her dream, I used the coordinates of the 1924 Olympic Stadium as the starting place: 48 55' 44"N 2 14' 53"E

EDIT: Lucie replied in the comments, but my French is nonexistent, so:

Quote:

1924, yeah it just parrait, Paris however it requires more imagination, but I will believe it!
Thank you for your help, so you think that it takes me to go to Jordan or to Jerusalem, how can we know more precisely? Could it be totally crazy for me to get there on the basis of a dream ...? So far my dreams have only guide me, therefore I tend to think that I should continue to monitor the messages they me, I just want to be sure that it is from this place there ..

My best guesses, using the 1924 stadium as a starting point:

using 189 m, Hestia 4 degrees, I get a small city in the West Bank, south West of Damia
using 185 m, Hestia 4 degrees, I get the area that Rogi mentioned above - midway between Netanya and Tulkarem.
using 185 m, Hestia 4.5 degrees (since they may have had to round down), it is near Tel Aviv (where Israel's largest Stadium is located), but in the Mediterranean. So I don't think that is it.

But if I use 189 m, Hestia 4.5 degrees, I get Jerusalem (Jerusalem has the second largest Israeli Stadium)

So, I'd send Lucie to Jerusalem, and have her check out sports related site-seeing tours. And have her keep in touch.

The big (and only, I believe) stadium here is Teddy Stadium in the south of the city.

Well there you go. Not only can Lucie visit Teddy Stadium to check for things she might remember from her dream, but lindoriel379 has agreed to meet her for tea, and a quick tour of ... hmmm... quick tour of... a quick tour of all the McDonald's in Jerusalem.

Ha, funny you should mention it, I just emailed Lucie and and say just that. Although the McDonalds part is a nice touch - it's sure to make our sponsors pleased. Smile

Re: [Lucie] Strange dream! I need you!!
Interpretation of lucie's dream

Hi,
I'm a newbie but i would tell you what I've said to Lucie in her forum and an a mail I post her. That's my suggestion:

You spoke about a city in France around the years twenty in which probably one unrolled Olympic Games. You were, moreover, in a great stadium. Paris in 1924 received the Olympic Games and in Paris for this occasion it was built a new stadium with 60000 places, in Colombes. For that I really believe that you were in Paris. It is this one probably the town of departure. Paris Colombes is the starting point.

The message which you remember so clearly and which you found on the stone is a vector written in old code (Omphcode) providing information to join an important destination.

"17794 Hestia 4 degrees"
the co-ordinates you found, by translating the code, give me a distance of 3363 km and a tilted direction of 4 degrees of east-south-east. This vector thus inclined, if the assumption Paris as starting point is right, carries us to Jordan, precisely to the capital Amman:
32.0103 latitude
35.515 longitude
you can check these co-ordinates by using this comfortable site implementing knowledge on the old code:
http://rogi.ocnorb.googlepages.com/Omphalos_Calculator.html

These co-ordinates inserted in googlemap provided a rather precise position, they carried me to Jordan, précisement close to the Amman capital, in Jerash:
http://maps.google.it/maps?f=q&hl=it&geocode=&q=archeological&sll=31.9394,35.9349&sspn=0.181218,0.320663&ie=UTF8&ei=cVjyR9OLHp2o2wLHp93MDw&sig2=vr5ySWqb66r4L8zPN-zioA&cd=3&cid=32275853,35891288,506971384967101940&li=lmd&z=14&t=m

a Greek and Roman archeological site very important. It is for that that I am almost sure that's the right place to search. Moreover in Jerash each year they are held in summer very important demonstrations on level artistic and athletic level.
here you will find some information on jerash:
http://www.atlastours.net/jordan/jerash_map.html
http://www.atlastours.net/jordan/jerash.html
and on Amman the capital:
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amman

She gave me that answer (I'll translate in english):

"thank you lorenzo!!!
I will see what I can do, it'not so easy to go over there but
I think that's necessary... I will see how it would be
possible...thank you for all your help
Lucie"

So she think the hunch was correct but she don't know how reaching
that location will be possible. Any Idea of next move? Probably if she want to go we have to manage it? Probably with someone strong who can protect her? Thumos maybe?
