Have contacted an old friend from University who lives in Hong Kong. Will update if I hear back from them. Smile

She's keen, and Art Jamming is near where she lives.

She said she'll pick it up in around an hour!

Will update when more comes to hand... Smile

Indeed! Very Happy

Just to update, she'll go and get the envelope when Art Jamming opens at 2pm Hong Kong time - in about two hours.
I've given her a link to the forum so she can tell us about it!

EDIT: She's got work this afternoon, so will get back to us with photos, the code, etc this evening Hong Kong time...

And perhaps she alreadey can look for the "second story", like the "hercules and omphale" painting in Cardiff.

Just a thought - I think it would be nice to let local players have a chance at retrieving an artifact before calling in favours.
Even just 24 hours might be long enough to discover if there is an active player in the vicinity.

If they aren't here, then the only way to find them would be through in-game forums. Personally, I don't visit anyone but Ariadne's since I speak English.

How can we ensure that they get the information and the opportunity?

Fair call, Lysiteha - duly noted. Each time I've tried to rustle someone up I've done my best to check whether there was anyone already playing in the immediate vicinity. There are no doubt plenty of lurkers, however, and I agree that a 24 hour wait-and-see is a good policy.

EDIT: I've only just realised the compulsion to co-ordinate these pickups is very Dikaiosune of me...

BTW - no word from HK yet, either she didn't have time last night to check in, or she didn't make it in the end. Art Jamming is open again in 10 1/2 hours in case she hasn't been able to make it and someone there who's playing the game crops up who's keen...

Will update as soon as I hear from her...

It might be nice, but it might not be wise. Remember Bruxelles? We were lucky -- in that whoever recovered the artifact left the code for us -- but that might not happen next time. And if Theo is monitoring Ariadne's log -- which he'd have to be a complete idiot not to do -- then he knows about the Omphaputer, and is just as capable as we are of getting to a Codex page. I believe this may be one of those situations where speed is good.

Just my $0.02...

Still no word. She also had a job interview today - which would be a major potential RW distraction.... As I understand it she works afternoon to early evening, so hopefully we'll hear from her tonight HK time.

Do we have any backups? She definitely sounded keen and able, but you never know.

If you know a potential reason, I wouldn't mind waiting.
Although my friend has a friend in HK, it seems we'd better wait, because pickuppers had better look around for something related to FTLR.

She was definitely keen to take lots of photos, so she might even manage to capture the secondary link on film... we shall see. Smile
