If it really were, it'd be locked and you'd be unable to post here. Being in the archive is because the real core purpose of the viral campaign is well and over. When the DVD is released, basically things would move on to the next chapter - as in a sequel. When things truly point to that, perhaps there will be a new forum or this one will be pulled back up. It really no longer deserves to be 'top level' above many other running games with totally current updates.

Other past games and other Chaotic Fiction (CF) are still being posted in occasionally, when some trickles of new content come along. Cloverfield's campaign is basically in a keepalive mode, with a heartbeat of just a few updates every so often. It's pretty clear to most that this is just to sustain a little awareness so that if (or quite possibly when) a new iteration of the campaign picks up, it won't take too long to be found.

Basically folks, the movie is out, nearly to DVD. The point of the campaign was to promote the movie, and that's done. Over. Complete.

Treat the forum well, and it will probably remain truly 'open' and you can mill around reminiscing over the past of the campaign and ruminating on the sparse updates. I look forward to something really getting active for the sequel, but that just isn't happening yet. I also hope for something as compelling to come along, which for me hasn't happened yet. I hope the same happens for you.
