I think, I saw "Theo" now, but I'm unsure about it. I'm in Newcastle now.

Do we know whether this is likely to be Newcastle in Australia/USA/UK/Ireland etc?

Ooh, ick, I'm dizzy. Could it be a train station? Should we post a Flickr comment asking where it was taken?

Funny, he used uPose. Does that mean he has an iPhone? Razz

Newcastle, aka Newcastle upon Tyne, has an airport.
The airport has "fast track parking", which you can see if you view the blurry in it's largest format (1024x768).
Markus said he was leaving for another country on "Wednesday" and might tell us where he is when he gets there.

When you look at the image at Flickr, it has the description "This picture was uploaded using uPoze".

This is normal for pictures uploaded from phones. For instance, when I upload a picture from my phone the description will always say "T mobile" by default.

uPoze is a app for the iPhone that makes it easy to upload pictures from your phone to places like Flickr.

http://www.upoze.com/

So far this picture is telling us, aside that he's at an airport as sapagoo says above, that Markus has an iPhone. (Dude, Kai is generous.)

Wonder if there is a Theo hint in there in addition to his location.. do we want to try and determine what that is... there is always a motion blur removal, after our last success... dunno how brave I feel about that one next. Razz

just to add, Markus has been using twinkle recently, a twitter app in iPhone.

eta:
it's not much, only the "Fast Track..." text is recognizable

Re: out-of-focus picture

Ha! That's what you Sofias get for brilliantly figuring out that PRUVODEREHAVIGO code from an out-of-focus picture!

Markus twittered at 06:15:57 that he will leave for the airport in a few hours.

Then two hours later (08:28:46) he twittered he is in Newcastle. So I think it is definitly UK.

Assuming that he was still in Cardiff when sending the first message, the only Newcastles that could be reached in this timeframe are:
Newcastle-under-Lyme
Newcastle Monmouth
Newcastle, Craven Arms

I do not think that there are airports. So whether he is still on his way or he has started not from Cardiff

Based on the "Fast Track Parking" on the monitor in the above pic, we figured that he was in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which has an international airport with "Fast Track Parking". Yes, that is distant from Cardiff, but it's somewhat close to York...

Markus has updated his blog:

Ich bin von Newcastle geflogen. Ich glaube ich habe "Theo" gesehen am Flughafen aber da bin ich mir nicht sicher, es waren zu viele Leute da und ich habe Ihn nur für eine Sekunde gesehen. Vielleicht bin ich ja einfach nur paranoid.

Ich bin jedenfalls gut angekommen.

In any event, I have arrived safely.

So we can narrow down his likely destination: Geneva, Aberdeen, London/Gatwick, Cardiff (doubtful), Dubai, Amsterdam, London/Heathrow, Stavanger(Norway), Birmingham, Belfast.

What symbol is that on the plane wing?

EDIT: I just answered my own question. That is the logo for Emirates Airlines. Markus (and presumably Theo) has flown to Dubai.

What's up with all those Arab countries? Lucie in Israel/Syria, Markus in Dubai... it's not like people there will be able to understand the site.
