If you go to Chatsy's profile there is a message hidden in his description that reads:

"Sometimes ya gotta just get on your bike and see where you end up
I'm going deeper under ground there's too much pressure in this town i'm goin i'm goin i'm gone"

New pages up at Alice's Evidence

Page 20 is Jennifer's employment sheet, Page 35 is a bunch of what looks like website source code.

Edit: The URL http://www.moa.org is buried in the code, but that address is a placeholder for a registered but not developed site. Doesn't seem like it leads anywhere.

Ok I got two bits of info:

1: I wrote Alice about the symmetric key I mentioned in an earlier post found on AE (Alice's Evidence) and I got a response.

"Hi Alice,
Page 21 told me that you have a symmetric key... may I use it? "

Her response:

;3.^!.IV.>l()0'l;. (Note I did not include " " so as not to confuse anyone)

I've got a friend who says this is a incryption/decryption key and that he may know how to use it. Because Alice has the same key we may be able to send and recieve coded messages to her.

2: On Chatsy's profile the words "I'm going deeper under ground there's too much pressure in this town i'm goin i'm goin i'm gone" These are lyrics from a song entitled "DEEPER UNDERGROUND" By JAMIROQUAI

Only trick is that the real lyrics say panic not pressure Not sure what that means, but its something else to chew on. I'll get with my friends and see about encoding a message using the key.

Ok, looks like I should have checked my email before posting because I have one more clue...
I contacted the people at powerpatio.com, I don't have the original text that I sent them (do'oh!) but I said something along the lines of: I am interested in using the company Identicyption, but their server is down and I have no way to contact them. Do you have a name of someone you dealt with there or someone I could contact?

I recieved two replies:
The First:
"To whom it may concern,

I received your email via web form regarding Identicryption. I am pleased to inform you that we have been extremely happy with the service provided by the company over the past few months.

They provide a very professional service with help always at hand. Meetings are conducted in a very business-like manner by Robert Dunne and their technical staff of Sean and David are proficient at their job.

Only in the past few days have we had any issues with the server but we have been in contact with Sean at Identicryption who is dealing with our account queries.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Regards,
Peter Powers
Manager Powers Patios
"
The second:
"
To whom it may concern,

Apologies - I forgot to attach Sean's email address.

sbrowneSPLATidenticryption.com

I hope I have been of service to you.

Regards,
Peter Power
Manager Powers Patios
"
So looks like we now have Sean's email address and his last name "Browne" Not sure what to say if we emailed him, doubt the direct approach would do any good may even tip our hand... Any ideas?

Anywho, need sleep, maybe the ol'subconcious will come up with something. Oh, and I am new so let me know if this stuff should be covered up as spoilers!

You only need to cover it up if it's a solution to a puzzle. And we definitely have no solutions...

I feel like the Chatsy lead is a red herring. I don't think it was a deliberate move to hide things in his profile, I think it's using black text and forgetting he has a black background. The message on David's prof... more confusing, I guess. Maybe his is IG

I sent a similar message to Powers, claiming that I was wondering about using IC myself and wanted to sort of get a reference, and my letter was a little different:

Quote:

They were extremely professional in their manner of conducting their work and their help service team of David and Sean are more than helpful.

Their management team is very efficient and conducted the meetings in a relaxed but business-like manner. Robert Dunne is their main port of contact and you can mention my name if you would like to request a quote.

Just a word of caution, we have been experiencing difficulties with our website in the past few days and Sean has been unable to help us as yet. He seems to think that David can help out with the issue but he is off sick at the minute, so I am sure that it will be sorted out soon.

Regards,
Peter Power
Manager Powers Patios

So David knew he wasn't going to be in, and called in sick... or management knew David wasn't going to be in, and called David in sick..........

Oooh, spooky conspiracy stuff.

What do you mean by "IG"?

Well that seems to confirm David's opinion of Sean being incompetent. I suppose it could have been apart of David's plan to cause a security issue and "conveniently" be sick in order to force Sean to handle it. However, my conspiracy meter is twitching on this one too and IC is covering up David's absence.

I was thinking about sending Chatsy an email buddying, up to him and asking how he found out David is joining the army. Hopefully we can kill two birds with one stone: where he got his info from, and clarify what he meant by "el armo"

EDIT:Anyone else curious why a patio company would need some fairly high level indentity incryption? I mean their website is only really an advertisment, they don't do anysort of ordering or online payment.

IG means "In Game". It refers to activities, communication, characters, emails, events, etc. that are related to the game's reality.

OOG means "Out Of Game". That refers to things that might appear to be part of the game, but in fact aren't related at all.

In the ARG world it is pretty important to keep these two things seperate, especially given the underling philosophy of "This Is Not A Game". When you are livin' large IG, you speak, react, and solve problems in the reality of the game. Eveybody gives/gets a lot more slack when you're OOG.

I wonder if there's a reason "Alice" is posting the evidence in the order she is. It all seems to be coming from the same notebook. And how is she getting access to all of the information? I don't really have any answers. I'm just sort of thinking out loud. Smile

I've been wondering more or less the same thing. My particular quandary is why, if Alice knows how much evidence she has as demonstrated by the pre-set placeholders, why is she releasing it bit by bit? Why not all at once? My conspiracy meter is more than twitching, but it's been a while since I had it calibrated ...

Anyway, new Alice post at Aftermath:

Quote:

Is not to sound or hear or smell

Is not to look a lot like hell

Is not to seem as though were dead

Is done with two things in your head

Two words are what you're looking for

Of four and five and nothing more

Walk it through the gate with Bruce

And tighten up this failing noose

Look down the barrel of the gun

Quick, quick, for time will soon be done

The non-english words in the html source code are Irish Gaelic if that helps at all.

Ok, I think I have this latest Alice puzzle almost cracked, but I can't quite figure out the final twist...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Quote:
Is not to sound or hear or smell

Leaving taste and sight, if I'm correct. Eyes and ears. 5 letter words and 4 letter words.

Quote:
Is not to look a lot like hell
Is not to seem as though were dead

No idea.
Quote:

This only applies to sight. Unless you have two tongues, I guess.

Quote:

I agree with Toasty on this. A four-letter word and a five-letter word.

Quote:
Walk it through the gate with Bruce

The two words are the keys to Mr. Robert Dunne's password, I think. Page 11 in Alice's Evidence, I would bet my firstborn child to a gold-spinning fay that the name behind that Peruvian postcard is Robert "Bruce" Dunne, chairman of Identicryption.

Quote:
And tighten up this failing noose
Look down the barrel of the gun
Quick, quick, for time will soon be done

General warnings of speed, implication that our rabbit is getting away; the noose is failing to constrict in time.

There's my guesswork, someone with more sleep under their belt just has to finish it off.

BLOOD FATALITY to whoever pulls it off.

Just throwing this out there, You "think" with the two sides of your brain. You have a "left" and "right" side, left being 4 letters and right being 5 letters long.

Of course that leads no where, but I do agree that we need to figure out the login to the members area.

Jelloarm have you tried emailing Robert Dunne using the support email on the contact us page of their site asking for a "quote"? Peter Powers mentioned you can mention his name to request a quote...I'd do it but he sent that info to you in the email so it'd be best if you try.

He also mentions that Sean has been unable to help them and david is off sick, so asking about them is probably a dead end at the moment.
