Sorry Vecheeso, but I do not think it's a good idea to be so "carefree" about whether your game is complete or not. Please take your players into consideration before you launch an incomplete game. Thanks.

I would never launch an incomplete game. What i meant about a trial run, was to test and see if we could MAKE a game. The trial run for creation, not a short realease. I would never launch an incomplete game, PERIOD! I have taken the players into consideration every step of the way, which is why I am making such posts on UF puppetmaster help. I read all the posts, and I know what it means to be screwed over by a crappy PM imploding their game and not telling their players. And as for the line about no deadline, I have never made an ARG before, so I didnt wanna post a deadline until I had a full team to get an idea as to what production time we have. And as far as releasing in parts, this story is a very long one, so I was thinking about releasing it as several small ARGs, but now that I have a team, we have decided against that, and are full steam ahead, making great progress. I also guarantee that there will NEVER be an incomplete ARG or any unnecessary imploding from 4Chozn Entertainment, EVER! Thanks for your concern, 4Chozn Entertainment and I all feel the same level of concern for such things. So, thank you for your concern, about the players, natas, myself and 4Chozn Entertainment share that concern Smile

Without meaning to put a dampener on things, you may wish to look into certain restrictions about calling yourself '2012 Games' i.e. hire a lawyer. I know there's very tight advertising restrictions surrounding the 2012 games and I'm thinking that such a move wouldn't be very wise.

Message me and I'll try and find the related websites about the restrictions.

Smile

This should help:

Yeah it's to do with the 2012 games. I don't think the rules are very clear cut, so you may wish to stay clear altogether. Just a friendly heads up Smile

ty for the heads up, we have a guy looking into it, and it seems okay for now. if we made money on our game or became a ful-fledged company, then we would need to change our name, but so long as we arent, i -think- its okay, but we will look into it further, thanks! glad to see ppl looking out

London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act of 2006

The relevant section is here:

Quote:
At the end of section 3(1)(b)(infringement: similar symbols and mottos) add "or a word so similar to a protected word as to be likely to create in the public mind an association with the Olympic Games or the Olympic movement".

Given the fact that the Olympics has moved into the realm of alternate reality gaming with "Find the Lost Ring", it would be a risk. Especially since one of the tenets of trademark law is that you have to defend your right in order to keep it.

Obviously, this should not be treated as legal advice. I'm not a lawyer, and didn't spend nearly enough time looking into this to give decent advice even if I was.

everyone has been so nice as to inform us all on this, we have decided to call ourselves '4Chozn Entertainment', thanks for all your help. If you see any further reference to our previous name, please pm me, thank you. Hopefully people will read this topic heading and still put down their info, because this is a post for hiring to our ARG.
Thanks for your time,
-V

Back to the original idea of this post, we are looking for 2 actresses, as we said, with the ability to do video, and text-based chat. Interested? Well, here is what we are looking for:
late teens to early 20's in age
hopefully one actress as a 'rocker' type
and the other actress can be whatever style!

for the 'rocker' type, it is likely that you will be making drug-related references on occassion, as well as swearing, again, on occassion.

are you interested in acting for either of these parts? let me know by private messaging me here, or creating a username on http://vecheeso.boardzero.com and messaging me there.

Thanks four your time, and I look forward to working with you!

*EDIT* the team and I decided that for this ARG, the level of involvement and knowledge of the project is paramount for the people in acting roles to have. to in light of this, i've decided to look for ARGers with any kind of acting skill or talent, again with the ability to do text based chat with players as well as a camera/webcam to do video blogs with. You see, for this ARG we are going to be doing live events, and I want the actresses and actors to have intricate knowledge of the story line as well as what is and isnt being developed. Thats why 2 ARGers would be perfect! because they know the genre, and would be interested in knowing what was going on with the project.
So if you are a female ARGer, you want to be an integral part of an ARG, and you arent camera-shy, please PM me. And as always, thanks for your time.
