Go to the main twitter page. It will say "What are you doing" with a box. Type your message in there, except do "@chambermaid your message"

(Oops)

I still don't get it. Nowhere on the site, other than the above (which doesn't say it's private), I don't see a box *anywhere* to send a public message.

I need to install ANOTHER IM?!?

No, you don't need another IM client. Go to the home page of twitter and in the text box type @chambermaid plus your message. It should reply to her.

Well, what do we know about her gleaned from the site?

Her name is probably Rebecca. She most likely has a sister named Stephanie and a grandmother... We need more information about her. We should then post the obituary at the HTH forums, right?

She said we would know where...so I'm assuming it's the forum.

I assume so.

Now the Doc wants us to do creative writing... gee, thanks! It's not like I didn't have anything else to do! Rolling Eyes

OK, intro to Twitter, since a lot of people seem to be having issues with it:

Twitter is like a blog (a la livejournal, etc.), except you only write little one-line things in it.
Every post you make is public, which means everyone can read it.
The posts of people who you are following show up on your home page.
The posts YOU make show up on the pages of the people who are following you.
If you type @username, it is still public, but it is shown as being in reply to that person.
If you want to send a private message, you have to go to that person's profile and click "message username" over on the right.

That's about it.

Well, I suddenly dawns on me... Twitter is quite cheezy, isn't it? A chat room for the technologically inept.

But I digress...

You are welcome to lie and guess, but be sure to include a date and cause of death. Always a nice touch.

tick-tock, folks.

Let's get to it, then. I'll be writing one.

No, her name is most assuredly not Chalmers. That's the name of the investigator from 48HIP.

Not that it matters at this point; we don't know anything about here anyway.

And I actually went and posted one. Doc should find it particularly amusing...

*EDIT*
That swine! HE CHANGED MY SIGNATURE!

He changed it to say only "I am Doc".
