I posted on Twitter, and she was responding.

Could it be a reference to the obit task? Seems like Doc is unhappy with something we did.

I don't think she has been punished yet. I think it means more that we shouldn't pretend to be other people (multiple accounts to post extra obits, for example), or say things that are clearly false or contradictory, simply because we think it is what The Doc is looking for.

well, at least one (i didn't read through them all) obit was insincere, I would assume it was in reference to that.

Doc posted something new.

Seems like he wants us to know BEX's history. The fact that Steph and and the grandmother is dead also explains the image up on the frontpage. The significance of the "x" is still pretty much unknown, as far as I know. Any clues?

But don't feel bad, BEX is resilient and focussed on being a self-made woman. In fact she hasn't managed any successful relationships yet, possibly because she beats the joy of loving her with the blunt edge of a narrow-sighted work-ethic.

I suppose now it's up to you to give her the chance to learn to appreciate life and the privacy of others.

Doc.

hmmmmm, maybe he loved her? (in a sick, psychotic sort of way)

and Doc should really use spell check Razz

can I just interject a tiny request in here...
along with the 'intro to twitter' from a few pages back, it should probably be noted that while you don't need an IM to read Twitter easily, Twitter isn't an IM itself. That is, it's not really intended to be used for excessive chatting back and forth, especially publically - remember not everyone is following the same people, so someone might see your one part of a long conversation annoyingly incomplete on their twitter list... Razz (of course there is blocking, but that defeats the purpose)

I'm relatively new to twitter as well, but I can understand the annoyance some people have with how popular it's become, and spammerific (have you been friended yet by someone you don't know, who's following 5000+ people already, with 20 followers?).
From my understanding, it's intended primarily as a one way outgoing communication tool, like a one-liner blog, status, quotes, thoughts, whatever. With the ability to direct public replies now, it can be made into a communication tool, but again more of an outgoing group communication tool than a public one-to-one.

Personally I don't think PMs should start swarming to Twitter as a chat tool... personal/direct messages perhaps, but avoid public chat plz. I'm not a Twitter "purist", but I can see where they're coming from =)

*just one man's opinion*

To add a bit of usage tips to what's already been said...
- it is fairly flexible, and it's great for mobile contact and updates, but can also be used entirely on the web.
- you may have unlimited free incoming txt's on your cell, but twitter will only send you 250 sms text msg's per week, so I suggest only using device updates when necessary (otherwise use the web)
- you can send direct messages to people by writing "d username text", like "d thebruce0 this is a private msg!" - same for both via cell, or via the web entry box (but it can only be read if that person is already following you)
- you can also "follow @username" and "track #hashtag" (eg there's a #lostring hashtag people include to tag any LostRing updates)
- the rss feed of your twitter list is very helpful and convenient if you use a feed reader, especially if you're being overwhelmed by friends' messages

twitter's a very useful tool; we'd hate to see it overrun like myspace & facebook Wink Razz
hey and don't forget about the guy who was saved by twitter!

/me steps down

eta: don't want to quelch any gameplay here of course, just suggesting at least not to go overboard on the short and quick IM-ish tweets Wink

"Alcoholics can also suffer from exsanguination. Thin-walled dilated veins just below the lower esophageal mucosa called esophageal varices may ulcerate or be torn ("Mallory-Weiss syndrome") during the violent vomiting of the alcohol leading to massive bleeding and sometimes exsanguination."

Do you think Doc is making a comment about "Grandma" ? Maybe he blames Bex for some of the things that has happened in her family? Maybe he is a member of the family himself? Just a thought.

This is supposedly some sort of twisted psych experiment for "The Doc". He is trying to see how we react, and his behavior may not appear logical because he is looking for responses to unusual stimuli. I'd examine everything he says with that in mind
