it could be that only 10 people are getting texts? or that it takes a while because he has to manually enter all the information

I havent received a txt either, but I think it is not so much where you are but who your carrier is, (that was a question on the form) I would be willing to bet the PM is only texting those "in Network" so he doesnt get charged.

freewebtxt or w/e and txtdrop are online free SMS agents. He wouldn't get charged for those.

Which confuses me more because I still haven't gotten a txt or email... Maybe I'm not suitable? :/

It seems like you have this trouble often. Maybe PMs have been listening to all the things I make up about you Wink

Fish, you're so cruel!

@Leyton: Sometimes a text message might take a while to send. Sometimes I'll send one to my boyfriend and he won't get it for a few hours.

Oh yeah I know... Or, perhaps he's just txting certain people I mean those txts do say "Assemble your friends quickly" or w/e

So maybe it's about group participation as opposed to the PM getting everyone together him/herself?

I received a text at 11:37am today.

Quote:
From: lessthSPLATnwise.com [hurtstoheal] Hello "Bartok". No real name?

Welcome to the experiment. Her life is now in your hands.

Doc. -freewebtext.com

A couple of notes. First Im sure it's not important (or if maybe I typed it wrong) but the PM misspelled my "name" (used my screenname only)

Also I might have missed it but we now know it is a her. Disregard this note, as I just double checked and saw that the PM said her in at least one other message.

just a sidenote, it's free because it's technically an email sent to the phone's address (the format dependent on the provider) - it's not an SMS message. Reception of the message is dependent on the provider - my plan doesn't include the actual message being sent automatically to my phone - just a notification that I ave a new email, to reply "read" to read it (and it's then charged to my phone). The notification is just the sender's email address, no subject, no other description (than the notification text).
SMS messages (or at least, basic text messages) are automatically sent to my phone.

Some plans may automatically receive email messages, some may chare, some may be free. That's why they can be sent free of charge. I send myself txt messages for notifications, with the sender email address containing all the info I need, in proper email form Razz, that way I don't have to pay for txt messages to my phone. Like 'indexcontentupdate@trackingsite.com', 'newpost@argblog.com' or something.

Anyway... just a technical note... please continue... =P

EDIT: I also find my associations funny. When I first saw this guy used the moniker of "The Doctor" I thought of The Doctor as in, y'know, Dr. Who. Pleasant enough sort, really.

Then I see the goal of his experiment, and this list. Now I'm thinking more along the lines of Jigsaw. The Saw guy. So he went from a pleasant enough Time Lord to a psychopath with a teaching fetish in, oh, about three hours.

Ha yeah I automatically though of Dr Who due to finishing the Torchwood Extended Reality and Doctor Who starting up again.

I'm signed up. Received the email yesturday (april 20) at 2amEST.

EDIT: Just received a text. I guess they like people w Bell phones in Canada. BTW Didn't expect it that fast...very heart in my throat moment. Oh and I signed up at 2pm and received text at 2:11pm.

[hurtstoheal] Hello Jazz- welcome to the experiment. She's already in town, with no idea what awaits.

Hmm the same email address that I got. Wonder if the addresses are meant to mean anything more at this point. Is the lessthanwise telling us we should have stayed out? Is it regional, as I to have a Bell Mobility phone and actually live about 20 mins from KW.

It may be. My cell is actually a Stratford number but I said I was in Waterloo.
