Missing file The (un)locked videos are in the http://www.cloverfieldfiles.com/vid
directory. Perhaps the missing file (if it exists) is in the same directory.
I tried vid16.flv and all combinations of missing file.flv but to no avail. Any ideas?

I decompiled the flash for CloverfieldFiles, and there is no 16th spot in the code.
And there is no 16th video. It would be here: http://www.cloverfieldfiles.com/vid/clip16.flv

Different strokes for different folks, I guess...
this is definitely one of those "that's what she said..." lines.
but you're right. We know the details behind Rob's new job. We know that there is plenty of room for plot if Cloverfield mania continues.
I suppose my biggest question is this:
Drew Goddard said in an interview that It's not called Cloverfield because of some exit/street sign or anything. He said that there is a VERY specific reason behind it. We just have to find it. Well... I own the DVD now and I still don't know what it is. So dammit- why "Cloverfield?"
Also, I think the only thing that would have been a wonderful 'plus' for all those who were dedicated to this thing would have been an origin of sorts. I mean, there was a 100 different ways to advertise this; why this particular path.
I don't think people expected it to be an ARG so much because of the Ethan Haas thing. Rather because of J.J. Abrams' "The LOST Experience." And I still want to know what the hell the sword and swirl are about... I mean, it's on the damn DVD and also the game sites.

maybe they're just trying to make you crazy with the whole sword sign thing.
while Goddard did say that, Reeves said that there was no significance to the title... he wanted it to be called GREYSHOT the whole time
who do we believe?

I dunno. I mean, they both said that it was called Cloverfield from the very beginning. The only reason they thought about changing it was only because of the fact that the name "Cloverfield" was leaked out into the press.

No, Cloverfield was a codename for the movie along with the various other ones. (Cheese, etc.)
When the codename 'Cloverfield' was released many people thought it was the real title of the movie. Since the production staff had gotten used to 'Cloverfield' and the fans had as well, they just went with it.
I personally would have hated the name Greyshot. I just don't like it.

I think that if there is a last video inputted (and i think there will be), it will be the winner of the "Where Were You When Cloverfield Hit" contest.

The behind-the-scenes stuff was pretty cool....but I agree with an earlier post...that this stuff might as well have been on the DVD...since some of it was anyway.

Can you show me where Drew Goddard said this? The closest I can find was Bryan Burk saying:
Quote:
"From the beginning, we always referred to it as Cloverfield because it's relevant to the movie. We had a lot of initial conversations about what to call the movie, plus there was a long process, for some weird reason, in clearing the name. So we had brief conversations about calling it something else, but we were never calling it Monstrous," he says, referring to early title rumors. "What really happened is that it leaked online and people found out what we were calling it, so basically the fans named the movie. "
Not that it matters much, because Abrams/Reeves/Goddard/Burk all have a different story on this.

No, when the movie title was created, it was Cloverfield. It got leaked, so they decided to throw some curveballs with the names.
Cloverfield is the street name of JJ's first video production building or somthing..
