[SUGGESTION]Monica's idea in Diego's forum

So Monica has posted an idea in Diego's forum. She suggested that, when we get to practice the lost sport in a training event and such, we should dress something with the colour of our strength (a shirt, or even a bandana), so we all could recognize better. The colours are the ones you see in their symbols in the page:
Sofia: Violet
Thumos: Orange
Chariton: Red
Dikaiosune: Blue
Sophrosune: Yellow
Mythopoeia: Green

Well, I imagine someone else had already thought about this, but it would be something nice. She also suggested trying to find something (broochs and such) to represent our strengths, so she is looking for a necklace with a sun Razz I'll be looking for a way to print the dikaisoune symbol in a t-shirt, it would be nice too Razz

I like the idea of t-shirt transfers since the best owl I own is in the form of small windchimes. Smile
I'm not sure if anyone has asked for a larger version of the strength icons yet, so I have sent an email to Ariadne asking her to ask Kai to make t-shirt sized resolutions available to everyone. (Even the "lrg" images I found on the website are too tiny to print)

Funny.. I did the exact same thing.. Smile Great minds think alike.. I wanted a) permission to use the images outside of a blog (which was granted after the quiz), and a possibility of higher resolution ones since the 72dpi versions certainly won't go far...

Heeeey...I hear Ariadne has e-mailed out a bunch of PDFs that have the strength icons in them, and that they've been posted to the wiki...are these suitable for making t-shirt transfers?

Maybe we could combine both ideas...put the Sofia icon on a violet shirt, e.g. Makes it easy to spot people with the strength you want at a distance (which could be good when a lot of people get together for a big labyrinth).

What are the PDFs you are talking about? Just the strength icons?

I am working as I write this on doing just that. I've taken the PDFs and rasterized the images for suitable use on things like Tshirts.. its getting late, so I doubt I'll have the TShirts up tonight, but I'll have them up tomorrow.

Additionally, I'll try to make the images available somewhere for those people who don't have the tools to convert the PDF into workable images and just want the final images.

Ok I lied.. I stayed up later than I should have (doing that alot recently) and got the strength Tshirts up.

Here's the location/store to purchase them at. There is no markup on these, so you're getting them at cost.

http://www.printfection.com/timeshareinhell/FTLR/_s_172110

I chose printfection because of the variety of colors that are available. While they are being displayed on a color closest to the strength, when you purchase one, you have the ability to choose another color, or go with plain white.

Printfection doesn't have as many product choices as a place like Cafepress, so I still might up utilizing my Cafepress shop to do things like stickers and buttons.

However, the available PF products are here:
http://www.printfection.com/customer/custom.php?tab=2

PM me if you want something other than a plain Tshirt and I'll add it to the section.

I plan on putting more items up, including shirts with FTLR text on it etc. I just wanted to get these up ASAP.

The images I used were rasterized from the Ariadne supplied PDFs and are at 200 dpi PNG (the maximum preferred resolution for the shirts), so the quality should be really good.

We've purchased from PF before and were happy with the results.

p.s. The shirts are only up with English text right now. I'll try to knock out the alternate languages soon, though I don't know how easy it will be to navigate the site to purchase them.

Weezel, they look amazing! Thanks so much for doing that! I'll definitely be picking up a Sofia and a labyrinth one (probably tonight...no time right now).

Apparently the Sofia and Chariton shirts are showing up as $6 more expensive. That is because of the base color I chose.. some colors (darker ones) are a different price, because they have to use a different printing process.

If you customize the shirt and choose a different color, it will change the price.

You chould put Chariton on a light red (pink) shirt, but there is no light purple shirt. Sofia might like good on a grey shirt though.

This isn't something I can control unfortunately. Kinda sucks for those two strengths.. like say um... me and my wife (one of each). Razz

To be honest, I think the dark colors look really nice with those two strengths.. Some of the lighter shirts actually have darker versions too, and if that's your preference, you can switch it yourself.

Embarassed

Thanks.

Lysithea requested a few things.
1) Designs which were front only, so they were slightly less expensive.

DONE! 6 New shirts available.

2) Designs put onto the women's versions of the shirts, for a better fit.

TBD. It's after midnight again. Now that I have all the images done, I can stick them on the women's shirts too.

FWIW, 4 shirts have already been ordered. Who knows who'll be walking around with one, or wearing it to a training event!

Women's shirts are now available in both styles. Unfortunately, there are less colors available in the Women's T, and even less with the Women's baby ribbed.

At this point, I'm going to leave the number of products available as is, unless someone sends me a PM specifically requested a particular product/combo/color/language that they want.

So rather than doing all languages, alt languages will be added on demand.

This is especially true since only 8 shirts have been purchased so far.
