We just got this info last night, so you're the first (at least on here) that has discussed trying to get there.

The MUSEUM is only open Fridays and Sundays.
The Fire Station itself would be pretty useless if it was closed 5 days of the week.
The directions "Chief Fire Officer / Fire Inspector's Desk " make it sound like it's in the Fire Station half, not the Museum half.

Very Happy correction : I am on my way to the fire station right now!!

Screw college ... I hate that class anyway.

Fingers crossed no one else has got to it first, aka the enemy.

Wish me luck people!

Although I certainly can't encourage you to screw college... very important.. though an occasional class here or there for something truly important....

Yeah Smile Just say that you're looking for a document or envelope that's been left for collection.

YES.

Just go in and be like "So I hear there's something under your desk. Could you check it for me?"

Ok. So here is what happend

I went to the office, got directed to customer service... eventually ending up in the office of the CEO. They had no idea what I was talking about, and told me to come back with more details from the person who sent me.

So that's kind of difficult.
But what I managed to get out of the snooty woman who helped me was that the chief fire officer is on annual leave. And they have a substitute 'acting' in his place at the moment. The woman used the word acting, which I found strange.

Somebody needs to meet with the stand in chief fire officer. I would have, but the woman was kind of pushyy about me leaving.

So in all, my adventure wasn't a total failure. We know there is a stand in fire chief at the moment.

Sorry I wasn't overly helpful guys!

Awesome effort racheebabiidoll, well done getting over your shyness!

I'm thinking that the Artifact itself may be in an antique Inspector's Desk in the museum, if the actual department knew nothing about it.

Unfortunately the museum is only open Friday-Saturday (as runeix mentions above), so we'll probably have to wait til then! Maybe the two of you could do the pickup together?

That makes sense. The part of the fire station I was in wasn't the museum, but a more recent building I had been directed to.

I will be in the city on saturday as well, I have a party up there to go to so I could go via the museum.

Rather convenient - I live about an hour of the city and all this happens when I need to be up there Very Happy

We can pick it up together, I don't mind. Ill go up on saturday tho anyway.

Anyone with ideas or intrested in coming with on saturday, email me rachel.langSPLAThiptop.com.au

I always have my hiptop on me. And for those non australians, hiptops are like the aussie version of a sidekick.

Smile
