Agreed, i went with this deal, if BestBuy sold then steelbook they could of made maybe 2% more money. though you can just find all the "special" special features online pretty soon, (party mix is on iTunes but pfft don't want to pay for it lol, and the TJ. Miller Video Diary might be on youtube if Paramount doesn't remove it :\)

 		I don't know if anysone else knows this, but I just looked at the DVD easter eggs list for Cloverfield at moviemistakes.com, and it says:

On the Set Up menu, highlight Espanol subtitles and hit right. A helicopter should appear. Hit enter to see a montage of the cast and crew quoting some sort of catchphrase.

Go to the page for scenes 13-16. After you wait for a while,(Note: a lot of patience is required to find this) a 17th scene will appear. Click on it and it will take you to a page with secret military files. Unfortunately, only three of them actually work. Only time will tell how to access the other ones.

Don't know if these work yet I'm going to try them out right now. Shocked

 		this is so exciting! i waited just a little bit and the 17th chapter came up. i am about to watch it. will let you know what i find!!!! thanks latimerkent

Edit: CAUTION SPOILERS!!!!

the first video is of a newscast, which is very interesting
another video on the page of files is the list of some of the videos to teddy. only the 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 11th videos work....and wow
on the 2nd link to a video on the files page it brings up a slusho poster. click the far last bean and it shows the commercial we all know and love. lol
i dont know what to say, im still amazed from the beginning all they have done around this movie. cant wait for someone to clue me in!!!

 		Has anyone explored the DVD on the computer yet?

probably some DVD-ROM features, i'm guessing.

Since 4 of Jamie's videos are in Chapter 17, the rest should be on there too.

yeah i did all of that on my computer. i will put it into my pc too, cuz i was on a mac and sometimes things are diferent. so far there wasnt any extras. i wish there was though. will update

 		also in the chapter section of the dvd, when you get to the subway scene press up on your remote and a red x appears. all it shows is the subway scene before they added the parasites. they use X's in their place
