EDIT: None of the threads seem to align with each other perfectly. I think the message that they all connect is still there, but I dunno if they all connect with eachother. They could all stem from the one center, but then there would be stems off into nowhere. I'll play around with it more, but if this were a math test I'd fill in the "Not Enough Info" bubble. I wouldn't mind being wrong though...
Random idea: If you can organise them into some form of order, could the symbols not spell out a word? It might be a long shot, but if you take the symbol that the red line is touching - it can make a letter.
E.g. the third album art (Letting You) - the red line is touching one of the symbols, which resembles the letter L
The fourth (Discipline) - the red line could make the symbol look like the letter C.
Bit of a long shot, but if the lines don't actually connect, it's an idea.

That could be, since all of the things don't have the thread. Worth a shot.
I'm still wondering about the genre being (253)...

Also the ETS guys thing that the Hand on the Cover could be an allusion to the Presence. And that it might be covering up an AIR patch, which Trent was seen in early on in Year Zero's time.
And Corona Radiata and Letting You are the only ones to overlap http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/3572/matchck7.jpg
Either way, a lot of folks over there seem convinced that this is connected to Year Zero.

Nice, thanks.
And thanks for trying, natas.
Now that I see the artwork...
1) "The four of us are dying" seems to have no visible red line. Demon seed seems to have waaaaaay too many red lines XD Also, Lights in the sky and 999,999 have no redline.
2)1,000,000 has a red line coming in from both the top and bottom. Echoplex has red lines leaving from both the top and bottom.
Just some things I noticed.

CHECK IT OK, I took the images apart and came up with this. It's a start. PM me and I will email you the PSD with all the images as layers, easier to move that way.
Here's what I did - I lined up the red lines as best I could.
ALL OF THE LINES MATCH UP PIXEL FOR PIXEL and there are other possible combinations... EXCEPT for the AIR flag.
It makes sense to me IF IT'S A PUZZLE that the AIR logo is only turned that way SO YOU TURN IT THE OTHER WAY. This seems so right to me because the first group of three looks like DOG when you turn it to line up. Coincidence? I think not. Seriously.
ALSO note that there's a clockwise swirly. I rotated the AIR logo clockwise.
I THINK That the one file in the torrent that is larger than the rest (the six boxes and one 'shard' of a box) is larger because it is meant to be the map. Rotate it counter clockwise and you get two groups of three, just like I found.
THAT LEAVES a WWW.
And a symbol thing.... surrounded by red...
ROTATE IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE and get OCR?
Optical Character Recognition?
I was unsure if I thought it was a puzzle before, but now I think it very well could be...

Update, my buddy ran it through the OCR on his scanner a couple of ways and didn't get anything useful.
I STILL think that this is half of a solve.

You may or may not be on to something, but I for the life of me can't see the word god in that sequence of the song images. I do see dog (the last looks like a capital G [yes, like the song on YZ, but not] with a line continuing on to the edge of the image).

has anyone else noticed that all the cover albums -except for 'demon seed'- has the same or similar pattern distress marks?
since discipline was released, i've been curious about those faint markings. it's similar to if someone was writing on a notepad, tore off the paper, and you're left with the indentations on the paper(s) below it.
maybe it's for alignment of the symbols, may be there's something to the same markings. may be not. perhaps try playing with contrast/brightness as well as opacity of the layers?
just a thought.

You're right, I mis-typed.

What's really funny is that last night I screamed "oh my god!" after rotating the reddened image. Pointing at it, I squealed "Open Source Resistance!" My wife looks at it, and turns to me, and slowly says "honey, you don't spell Source with a C at the start."
It was late.

No worries. I actually thought I was missing something blatantly obvious.
I think, if this is a new ARG, we're missing pieces or information.
YZ started with a t-shirt, right?

Yeah, it was the tour shirt.
Maybe we'll see something on the merch for this album?
