Unless he has spider senses that 'tingle', I'm pretty sure he is dead.
I watched this one scene over and over again and there is no way he survived it was way to fast. The only possibility i got was maybe the bridge hit in front of where he was barely, from looking at the news footage in the electronic store with hud it looks like its not near where he was directly.

I HOPE he lived he was badass, and in control.

In control? Um, you did see the first few minutes of the movie with him and Lily? *whip crack* Very Happy

As for the news footage, if he was ANYWHERE near that span when the tail hit he went down. Then the rest of the bridge goes and our gang barely clears it. I'd say with 99.99999999% confidence that he went into the river and either died on impact, drowned, or was clobbered by debris IF the tail didn't get him directly.

I'd like to know what version of the DVD you are watching, because I posted the last 3 frames of the tail coming down. They are fairly dark as seen on a regular PC, but go ahead and brighten/levels/gamma correct them and see what's there. That brown colored body above the rest, at the left end of the reflection on the tail is Jason - still hanging onto the pole. He never lets go. I've watched it over and over. I think some people are having wishful thinking make them see things they want to. The character was a nice guy, he's dead. The actor is still alive. Why is everyone so attached to the character being alive?
