Anyone purchase the Walmart Cloverfield DVD? Japanese Novel? Looking for clues... I got the Best Buy one, but the Walmart one, is it just the poster they modified so you couldn't SOL head ripped off and city torn to pieces, or are the DVD cases themselves looking like that too.
Second, do the dvd cases contain the "signal" waves like the poster does at Walmart?
Finally, has anyone tried pushing the "signal" waves on the poster?
Also the Japanese novel. There may be some unreleased photos in there.
Just hunting for clues.

The japanesse novel will almost certainly not have any clues. Its Japanesse for Christ's sake.
No DVD has had clues so i doubt anything will come from that...

Again, there are no "waves" on the Wal-Mart posters. That is where the cardboard cut-out of the SOL is supposed to be. I've checked it out. Just FYI.

Walmart I purchased the Walmart DVD and it was exactly the same casing as the Best Buy or any other regular edition. no missing statue of liberty, just the same old thing.

My son thought those were signal waves, too, until his 10 year old sister pinted out that they WERE "kinda". They are cut outs so that the shoplifting sensor can still work after they cover it with the poster.

I'd half believe that if the sensor couldn't pick up stuff in your pants, coat, backpack, etc.I don't think that little piece of cardboard would block it enough to warrant holes for the sensor. But i've been terribly wrong before...

It says that it has photos in the novel... like the STAR WARS novels back in the 80's that had photos in them. I read on Cloverfieldclues that they were new before released photos. I don't care what it says in Japanese, just the photos.

Go to Cloverfieldclues.com type in Wal-mart or search for it. That's where I found it.
