Wow... never thought about that. 11 dollar dude wasn't even in the movie for that line. All he said was like 'sounded like an earthquake'. This sounds real logical to me.

hmmm, i never thought about this either, but now that you mention it, this could totally tie in with a military perspective style of a sequel. Having these characters that werent really used throughout the movie as sort of an eyewitness kinda group for the military.

hmmmm, I still doubt it though. = \

What will the sequel be? My guess is that one, you see the military (U.S.) taking away one of the parasites in a glass cart while they are in Bloomingdale's. DARPA seems interested in the whole Cloverfield thing. The government locked down for a while Tagruato and Tidowave websites, then they got the sword logo on both of them. Then there's the cult that worships the beast. I think the sequel while be in nature an attempt from different sides to control the beast. If you can't kill it, join it.

I think that when the bomb was dropped on MGP, it either threw him back into the ocean, or two, slammed him against the ground, wounded him (which is why MGP's final scream sounds different than other screams) and he went running for the ocean.

I think the video was released to warn the public: this could happen to you (as we don't know where the hell the beast went to).

I like it NYC5:
Half the movie chornicales our friends at the party, and the other half from a military man's POV. Throughout the movie their lines cross on the street, and maybe intreaction even. And then at the end they either escape or die together to tie it all together...Very nice.

very clever, i like that idea. that charlie dude's got enough swagger to carry his own movie i think. and i'd much rather we stick with regular people than from an army standpoint or something. there's something a lot more interesting about people who have NO fucking chance of survival dealing with this shit, than trained dudes with guns. we've seen enough of that.

He could be our new Hud, as of he is quite funny in the some scene liek the outtakes and the "whoa, sup man" "sup" lol. Great point. Could happen but everyone probably wants something new, like seeing Clovie fully in daylight or something.

has anyone watched the full movie with Reeves commentary?

he talks about how much footage they shot with a bunch of characters, at the party, that they never got to put in (because of length).

your theory is decent... I'm not sure it's ground-breaking or anything but good points.

After watching the movie a couple times I did wonder what happen to them after the bridge attack. If I'm not mistaken I do remember seeing Jenn running past Hud. As well, as Jamie what ever happened to her?
