I'm in the Apple Store, nearest laptop+internet connection I could find. I've just left the Trustee's Meeting from Surer Risk. I'll scan the stuff I've got in when I get back home, but for now here's a quick recap of what happened:

I arrived a bit before 13:00 at the Hospital Club, was told by the reception to wait until somebody came. There was one other girl there waiting, who I later found out was veryreverend. After 10 minutes, a woman named Miss O'Neill (that's what I made of it at least) came to collect us and led us to the meeting room.

There were 8 other people (all in game I reckoned), I'm hoping I got the names right:

1. Chairman - George something
2. Peter Hayden
3. James Forsyth
4. French guy
5. Unknown silent guy
6. Unknown silent guy
7. Guest Guy
8. Guest Woman with Sunglasses
9. Guy standing

The main thing we got from the meeting was that Peter Hayden was reasonably new to the group (but still a "second generation trustee") and was being questioned by James Forsyth (who was sitting next to me) what his motives were. Hayden had something to do with the gold. When this was mentioned, the Guy Standing revealed himself to be Dan Corrigan and demanded answers from Hayden. Hayden turned hostile and "fired" Dan, to which Dan repsonded that Hayden didn't have the power for. After that though the French guy and the chairman both backed him up and Dan got fired (and escorted out of the room).

I then got the following note under the table from James Forsyth:

Quote:
Help Dan
Who is Peter Hayden
Replay Studios?
Who Lent The Stuff
Who Has The Stuff

After that, veryreverend and me and the 2 other guests were asked to leave the meeting (private matters, not for the public). Me and veryreverend got coffee upstairs in the cafe from Miss O'Neill. The Woman with Sunglasses then came by and left a business card...with the email of the Fan. I take it she was the Fan. After finishing our coffees we were asked to leave.

That's about it I guess. I'll scan all the stuff I got once I get back.

So we have to help Dan and The Fan?

Excellent summary mseckington! The only thing to add (which I didn't realise til later) is that the card which was given to me (by the Fan?) had this email address on it: fan[at]violetsdream.com , rather than violettesdream.

Not sure if that means anything though... in fact I'm quite confused by the whole thing!

Has anyone checked out the Replay Studios Blog recently? There's thievery afoot! Violette Summers artifacts stolen! Shocked

Quote:
Office break in!
We've been burglarised. Someone broke into the Replay offices last night

We're not the easiest office to break into. We're on the top floor of an office block in Hamburg. We're still trying to work out how they got in.

Stuff's definitely been taken. We're trying to work out if they were after anything specific, like the source-code for the latest build of Velvet Assassin, or if it was a crime of opportunity. The police are here and they say it looks like it was a pretty professional job.
More news as it happens.

Quote:
Update...
We haven't got a full list of what was taken during the break-in, but it looks like the thieves have taken all the historical items relating to Violette Summer.

Quote:
More details...
The break-in seems to have been professional work, and it looks like the only thing they stole, apart from the CCTV tape, was the Violette Summer items. A few PCs got smashed up but nothing else was actually taken. We're in the process of putting together an inventory of the missing items. If you're a collector, or you have any interest in Violette Summer and you hear or see anything about any of these items coming onto the market, please let us know immediately.
This is a really sad day. We had borrowed the items from a private collector, and they'd only been in the studio for a few days. In other words we hadn't have time to do the 3D scans we needed to put them in the game. Okay, I'm a Violette history buff and I was really excited to be able to actually touch these items. And I have to wonder if the thief or their client knew the items were here because I'd mentioned them on this blog.

We're picking ourselves up and dusting ourselves off. Nobody got hurt. Just history.

EDIT: We should probably check this blog more often. This post is two days old!

Hey reyason!

Here's how we found the first audio cast: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=518675#518675

Scroll down a bit to see how MrToasty solved it Smile

And now, thanks to reyason reminding us slow-witted folks about the first one, Wink here's how you find the second:

Ah, nice work Zorgano! So, now we know that page is more than a one time payout. Has that been waiting for us since the 9th?! Embarassed
Hopefully we'll have another soon now that this one has been discovered.

Hey everyone, looks like the game has been busy. sorry I havent been around but i have been kept busy. Thanks for the summary of the meeting mseckington.

An agent in the US! fun, now i might be able to have some interaction...to bad the agent is in the south.
The audio quality is just a little shaky so... here is a transcript for everyone:
Quote:
Ive decided to keep more secretive details in audio form. This way prying eyes can't find what im doing. I've just found out that there could be an American angle to this mystery. One of my contacts tells me that they had an agent active in the southern U.S. last week. Could this be true? What was he doing there, who did he meet, and what was he up to? Picking up or putting down? I've always felt that operated in solely Europe and in South America. If they are taking new risks to open up a new operation in the U.S. it has to mean that big things are happening. I need to know.

Anyways, just wanted to say i got my stickers and im back to watching the boards =)

Thanks Darren--I was very curious after hearing about 64 Baker St. on the IG forum and reading about the SOE women on their commemorative site.
