Thanks. I'll reread Dan's blog more carefully if you are telling me that Dan mentions he left with (stole) Surer files. Had checked the IG forum and didn't see it there also.

PM from Dan on the forum:

Quote:
I do have some files, but am working on them to see whether they are relevant, at this stage.

I'm back in London this evening, and have found something very interesting...

More later, must catch a train back to the big smoke.

In for this one (hope it's not too late...), been lurking for some time...

Guess we can expect a DC's blog update today/tomorrow?

Dan Corrigan appears to be an Indiana Jones fan:

And on the Replay Studios Blog:

Code breaking. Hmm. Could this be a clue?

Got a couple of emails from various people.

From the Fan (about Snow White):

Quote:
She too uses an email account, which bounces messages - mailbox full. I am surprised that she came to the ATM, I've never actually met her.

Are you sure it was her?

and from James Forsythe:

Quote:
My name is James Forsythe. We met briefly at the Surer Risk trustee's meeting
last month. Please forgive me for this informal approach, but I'm contacting
you to ask if you can do me a favour.

I'm aware that you may be in occasional contact with a former employee of
ours, Dan Corrigan. For various reasons it is politically inadvisable for me
to contact Corrigan directly, and I'm quite sure that he has no interest in
talking to me. But the datum I need has potentially far-reaching implications.

Can you find out from Corrigan the location of the cache that he discovered in
France in April? I don't need the precise co-ordinates, I am not planning on
visiting the site myself. To within the nearest fifty yards would be
sufficient.

If you can help me, I will let you know how it affects things.

Sincerely,

James Forsythe

What do you guys think? Should I try and get the info for James? Or should I warn Dan that James wants to know this stuff?

I'm for warning Dan... or trying to put it off until we have someome at Surer and are able to make a more informed decision?

edit: Job interviews at Surer have been postponed till 11th, so waiting is probably not the best idea.

Did no one apply then? Hope they don't cancel the whole thing...

Got another message from Dan:
Quote:
I am working through the files. There is one in particular that may relate to France. I have sent the file to a friend to decode / extract whatever is hidden in it.

I've been busy setting up my new company - Corrigan Recovery, which actually launches today. I haven't forgotten about Surer Risk, and how they treated me.

There's more to come on this, I am still digging to find out what I uncovered in France, the whole episode doesn't make sense. It may be up to you guys now, I've posted the pictures of what I found - it all seems innocent to me, unless I've missed something or the incriminating stuff was deleted by the collector.

Ok, I asked Dan where he found the stuff, and also mentioned it was James that wanted to know. He replied:

Quote:
James is a good person, his heart is in the right place, albeit slightly compromised by the Surer.

The location is a 50 min drive outside Limoges. A place called Peyrat-le-Chateau. I was out there looking for some WWII stuff, after a tip-off from Snow. Not sure how she knew something was there, but it was and I was set up.

Wish James all my best, and thanks for the help.

Dan

New tweet from the Fan and new blog post by Dan.

Also, I swear I couldn't open a larger version of Dan's pics from the other day before, but now I can. The only one of real interest is the last:

I believe you can read a name and a phone number off that one.

Thanks, natas. That is better. Didn't bother to check for other images earlier.

New post on Replay Studios blog - they actually do have 3D scans of the stolen artifacts.
http://replaystudios.blogspot.com/2008/06/cache-bandicoot.html

Also another new DC blog post - first UV image up.
http://dancorrigan.wordpress.com/2008/06/09/heres-queenie/

ETA - got PM from Dan after asking if we'd get to see the UV markings:
DC wrote:
I am not sure whether these are in any particular order, but just seems random.

All written in the center of each banknote.

The handwritten note was part of the cache. The collector was particular about every handwritten part of the package.

Just got given the exact location of the cache

Quote:
Has told you what he is looking for? Did he mention a name or initials? Kindly prompt him for anything along those lines...

This could be unofficial Surer business, and I can't get my head around what he's up to.

Kindly relay these coordinates to him:

Lat: N 45 49.164
Long: E 1 46.698

Please let me know what he is up to.

Thanks

DC

Not sure if it's relevant, but James Forsythe has been very insistent about it. Anyone in France fancy checking it out?

Sorry for the double post, but I just got this from JF

Quote:
I am working alone, and I can't emphasise how dangerous this is to me, you or
anyone else involved, especially to Dan.

I promised to help, and here is my side of the deal. A package will be left
for you to collect from the Surer Risk front desk - Ms O'Neil has given me
your full name. The package must be picked up on a specified date. Please let
me know when you can make it to our offices.

Dress as if you work for a courier company, and you must NOT ask for me, it is
too dangerous.

All this madness will make sense very soon. To unlock the whole mystery, you
will need a name - Dan has the name, he found it in the French cache. He will
share it with you if he trusts you. To be honest, I don't trust anyone here at
the moment, and things are deteriorating fast.

Good luck - we must be quick. I need to get the package out of Surer
Immediately.

Yours sincerely

James
P.S. Surer Address: 43-45 Portman Square,London, W1H 6HN

I can't make it to London for a month, at least, so if anyone else can pick up the package that would be ace (would probably need to be a girl as it's waiting under the name Rachael Collins!) If no one can, I've asked if JF can post it to me, but I haven't heard back yet....

Not sure if the name is related to the name and information seen in one of Dan's pictures or not. This is what it looks like to me, but some parts are hard to make out and don't necessarily make sense, particularly the second line and the phone number.
