XXX is typically a filler code for block cyphers and other codes . I'm sure there was a code ending like that in PXC, ones of the silvers that stumped people for ages.

Edited to remove troutyness due to Pancito's post above.

I signed up a day or two ago, but I think there was only like one other person signed up before that.

So the Nazi Gold and Enigma cipher reminds me of Cryptonomicon. Smile

Love that book. Could use an editor, but that's Stephenson.

Okay, I've been assuming this is Vigenére simply because there's nothing that looks like an Enigma key anywhere. Not saying it IS, understand, and that route hasn't been yielding anything either. The other thing to remember is that these were sent to the blogger (do we have a name?) and don't originate from him/her. In other words, I got nothin'. Smile

Just found out about this ARG via GameCamp in London yesterday. Somebody had left behind stickers with "Follow-the-dream" and "Violette's dream". Looks intriguing Smile

Any progress yet on the secret code from Image 3?

Hey everyone, I'm joining up on this one =)

So about the third pic, I have had no luck with the key yet (assuming that this is a vigenere). However, since the key normally has to do with the either the past picture or facts.

It dosent seem like the last sentence in the mosaiq was complete.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you want to see through the next picture, you'll need to know WHEN the digger thinks he's digging down to...

Gramatically it almost dosent make sense and the elipse at the end makes it look like we need to finish the sentence if he isnt trying to just trail off. I thinks that maybe the key is the term that would complete the sentence. Idk, those are my ideas. but im still trying to search twitter and the blog.

Maybe we should post what we have gotten deciphered in the IG forum so if need be, the PM has a way to give us a clue without having to try and work into an IG blog post.

1. I read it as a tailoff...
2. Go for it. Sure can't hurt.

I am feeling inclined to agree about the cipher being Vigenere, it just looks like it! One clue to finding the keyword could be in the groupings, ie. could the keyword be 5 letters long?
There isn't enough text to use frequency analysis to find the keyword though Crying or Very sad

Anyway, new post on the blog everyone:
Quote:
Still trying to place who is in the picture. The person who sent it to me really can't be trusted, especially with the threat hanging over me. I am not sure whether this is one of those silly games to send me off on a wild goose chase or to discredit me.

Someone's got to help me out, if this is a 'red herring', it could set this project back several months.

Anyway, red herring, being 10 letters, could have been the cipher keyword. But it isn't.
Booooo!
