Interesting analysis of the Gotham City map

I just came across this blog entry from Chris Roberson, who came to the TDK arg through his love of maps and cartography for fictional places and whatnot... interesting read =)

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one who finds maps of fictional places really interesting. Thanks bruce!

I've always been fascinated with maps of pretend places too, and still believe that the creation of Gotham as a living, breathing city was Batman Begins' greatest accomplishment. That one aerial shot as Bruce returns to the city, it feels entirely real. Like that's a place I could go.

The book "The Art of Batman Begins" has some great material on the development of Gotham (including one image of the exact same map we've been using in this game!), and describes how important the producers felt it was.
