Maybe its binary, one color for 1's, one color for 0's...

Would the placement of the J's have something to do with it?

Or possibly, a safe like 42 -26 - 76 means the first row you hit the 42'nd duck, second the 26's, so on?

I happened to get through the whole game (but I lost)

I scored 228 out of 296.

next to that it said ducks, and under that, 115 blues, and 113 yellows.
