 		is it showing the rankings for chapter 3? mine didn't. I think there were a bunch of people that didn't.

yeah mine didn't at first either, but just checked on it and now they are all there. guess the all mighty doritos gods heard our complaints and fixed it.

Damn!! i was the 3rd person to make it to the last puzzle. Someone was quicker than me on the last one.

Hell, vegas isn't that far from me...maybe i'll go watch the event even if i don't make it.

BTW, thanks to Mr. Toasty on this one (and everyone else in the IRC). If it wasn't for him, I'd probably still be stuck on the star map.

I think that's an easy guess....what shape have we been dealing with (especially with the triangle mystery clues). There's only one of those in vegas.

please tell me its not going to be that corny. there has to be something hard about this final deal if 100k is on the line.

It is a CORN chip.

 		I don't think finding it will be that big of a part of the puzzle...that's just too easy, but I AM guessing that the final "in-person" challenge will be running around there and solving clues to get to the next clues...eventually finding the artifact

Use it. look for things that slightly stand out from the rest. Go from there

 		Progress
Well, it was a frustrating midnight hour for us here in California.....the server would lock us up in that awful "loading" triangle. So I finished one puzzle in between glitches (I was in the teens rank wise) then I went to bed. Got up, tried again, still nothing but a bogged down mess. And weird buzzing background noise. Tried again at lunch time. Did errands, chores, laundry, and started dinner. Went into IRC and double checked my method on the star map (basically correct but I didn't get the "double back" ones until Zorg told me--thanks Zorg!!)....and I finished the game about 6 pm PDT. I thought for sure after 18 hours I was gonna be like #1800, but nope. #58. Weird.

And so we wait....in the mean time, I prepared a graphic that shows the symbols corresponding to the alphabet. I haven't seen one here, if there is I missed it and I apologize for duplication. Interesting note to Varin and other old-timers.........25 letters? Do I smell a 5 x 5 ala ATT? In the opening game "roll" that wants you type in Mt. Dew, I got all the letters. What is interesting is the Z and the M are the same. Yet in the "star map" there is an odd symbol. Is it possible there is an M or Z....or an error? Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.
