 		There are multiple cloverfield monsters

if u watched all that, then i dont have to explain too much so here goes nothing.

during the course of the movie, we see the actual creature(s) only a handful of times. one of these times is at the brooklyn bridge, where a tail whips out from the ocean and smashes the bridge, killing Jason. then the group are back in central Manhattan when once again we see it about 10-15 minutes later.

so that means that with stiff military resistence, the single monster (without dying) swam out of manhattan bay, onto the shore, AND cleared half of manhattan island in about 13 minutes while being shot at from countless soilders. this is very unlikely.

plus, as seen in the movie and the youtube video, there are physical differences.

AND right after the Central Manhattan fight scene, whats left of our main charectars get into the helicopter, we see it get hit with some kind of missle, where it later popped out of smoke and crashed the chopper.

So it was also magically in two places at once.

lastly, almost immediatley after the chopper crash, Hud is attacked and killed in Central Park.

so from the ocean, to Central Manhattan, to the edge of Manhattan (where it was bombed), then to Central Park from problably about 12am to somewhere around sunrise, all of this happening while the military bombarding the single monster and it not dying.

 		idk, it would just make more sense. and wheres the evidence that theres only one? Show me the evidence.

How about the fact that throughout the movie assorted people refer to the monster as it and not them. When they ask the soldier what's it is, he says that "Whatever it is, it's winning". You would think the military would know how many things they're fighting.

And the news reports would have reported that there are sightings of two monsters. Yet they only report on one.

 		There is only one monster and you can't use those times for each location as the camera isn't running the entire time. Also Clover is big enough to cover this distance faster than a person on foot or a car in traffic and can be seen surviving the military's attack, so no the monster does not die and can move reatively unopposed through the city, even going though buidings without slowing down.

There is and only one monster in Cloverfield!


In part two however there may be more.

Watch the DVD they explain a bit about clover and if it was more than one why would both JJ and Matt say It not them?

 		J.J. Abrams and crew all say THE monster.

Its the same monster in every scene.

The reason it can "always be where Rob and Co. happen to be is because the camera turns on and off, so theres time skips.

 		This is a trout, could some kind soul please search up the link and do me a wee favor.

However...
Taking the exact roll time of the film and applying it to real time is wrong. There are cuts and skips in the footage many, many times. If the film's timescale was to be followed so exactly, 7 hrs would have been the run time. So bzzt, wrong.

Your suggestion about the last bit with the helicopter taking off - they show MGP walking down the street from the place he's being shot at as they take off to the place where after being struck by bombs he emerges from the smoke to swat the chopper. Did you not follow that? He's also got limbs about a block long, I think he can cover distance fairly fast.

One monster. They said it, I've seen it, I believe it.
