Well, whatever you end up using to host the image remember to only thumbnail it or otherwise constrain it to 640 pixels wide or less. This can be done using HTML code, although thumbnailing is preferable.

I fail to see the point in that.

You fail to see that the forum is meant to render each table in a certain size basically, and that horizontal scrollbars are annoying?
The basic standard of the web is really only just getting to 1024x768. The whole of the forum is meant to fit in that width, and basically anything more than 640 pixels wide distorts the forum past it's normal rendering width.
If you don't understand using HTML to constrain the size, that's offered for those that refuse to use a thumbnail with a link or attach an image (which does those steps for you). If you don't do any of those options, I'm just going to end up doing it for you a few times - but I won't spend all my time fixing a dogpile of images. I'll just start converting them to links, which as you probably know a great many won't bother with.

"down boy"
no...I know my fair share of code Ike Turner, but I can tell your not a graphic artist because you don't think like one AT ALL. The point of leaving an image in it's raw form is to appreciate the beauty of its resolution quality. Only people who believe on living by nothing but rules get touchy with scroll bars. It's just another form of navigation. No offense but I gather you got picked on in high school....no?

hmmmmm..... well, this ain't a forum for "graphic artists". check out deviantArt if you're that enthusiastic about yourself. popping-off at a moderator, especially a well-respected one, isn't that genius of an idea if you want to keep a good rep here.
the point is, yes, scrollbars ARE annoying. i don't want to run the page back and forth just to read what's being written. i know it's no big deal for you to clutter up a forum, but it's a big deal to the people that manage it to try and keep it a clean source of information.
especially when a topic such as this should've been posted in the "social/humour/OT" section anyway, seeing as all of this is utterly pointless as far as "cloverfield general/updates" is concerned. this isn't cloverfield conversation, or updated news. it's funny pictures, and people making "haw-haws" at them. funny pictures, absolutely. appropriate for this section of the forum, nope.
food for thought.

I love the aesthetic of graphics, I understand wanting to see them in all their massive glory - but this isn't a graphic artists' forum. It therefore has limitations, like some users have limitations on bandwidth and screen size. I'm a mod here to help keep things orderly and neat - not trying to piss on your parade. I didn't make the rules, but I do understand them and that's what they are. If someone wants to view the larger image, it can be only a click away.
If you want to take being asked to abide by rules as a personal attack warranting adolescent insults, that's up to you. You've got freedom of speech - and the burden of consequence.
