"canon" basically means it relates to something as fact.

i.e.: it is canon that harry potter kills lord voldemort in j.k. rowling's last novel.

or, it is canon that darth vader is luke skywalker's father.

see what i'm saying? if something is part of the universe, and directly relates, it's canonical. and we're discussing whether or not the online manga will be canonical with the film.

Yup, he kills Voldemort. N heres another spoiler for ya -- Dumbledore is gay. now THAT is canon. he comes out of the closet in the next movie supposedly, but its in the deathly hollows , that he has a male lover. Hows THAT for a spoiler??

O, n OT--Did anyone check out Iron man yet?? Cool flick, but the preview for the Dark Knight looks off the walls, amazing. Check it out guys.

i know... i've been thinking that too. next thing you know, the reason for clover monsters will be because orphaned kids who miss their moms indirectly manifest their mother's ghosts in the form of giant monsters.

or maybe... the monsters came from the geofront, and the only people that can control them are the children whose mother's latent souls lie within the monsters? you know, ever since the first monster was found and poked with a really big stick in antarctica? and then everyone just becomes emo.....

lol, yeah, anyways,I think it might be canon, but if it is,and Kishin did control it some how, he probably died on the way to america.
