Hi everyone! I haven't been playing this game but I was contacted by a player due to my location near one of your shards. I'm in Pasadena, California and only a couple of minutes away from Shard #1. I'd be willing to go get it for you guys but I have one problem, I don't have a GPS system. Can anyone who has located a shard tell me if it's crazy to go out there with just the map and look for it?

You'll probably be okay as it's looks like a fairly open area where the shard's meant to be.

I'm going to say this with massive hindsight= the PMs want us to find them!! Very Happy

Good luck

@FQ: as someone mentioned a while back, print out the google maps view from a few different zoom levels to get a better idea of where you need to look.

Aye Carmenmiranda and I used the maps and a GPS unit, but the GPS unit was accurate within 40 meters....i.e. useless =)

Go with your gut instinct, if something looks like a good hidey hole, thats where it will be.

So far it looks like all the shards have been in tupperware/lock-tight boxes, some have been taped black or in camo bags.

And whilst they all have been out of sight, I think it's been obvious *even though it took me 3 attempts* where they are

Check the wiki out & have a look at the pics, that should give you a really good idea

Good luck Smile

Great. I should be able to head out and look around on Sunday. If I find it I'll let you all know ASAP.

ZOMG that would be AWESOME!!! (That was me that went begging for help BTW, and I'm so glad I did!) Definitely check out the videos and pics on the wiki, they should give you a definite idea of what to look for.

If you can, take a tape player - more about this on the wiki too. FQ, you rock!! Worshippy
