[H2H] [Trailhead?] Hurts To Heal

I've been away since yesterday and didn't have internet access. Anyway, when I got home, I had this email at the address I normally just use here:

Social psychology

Social psychology is the scientific study of the nature and causes of human social behavior and mental processes, with an emphasis on how people think towards each other and how they relate to each other. Social Psychology aims to understand how we make sense of social situations. For example, this could involve the influence of others on an individual's behavior (e.g., conformity or persuasion), the perception and understanding of social cues, or the formation of attitudes or stereotypes about other people. Social cognition is a common approach and involves a mostly cognitive and scientific approach to understanding social behavior.

Anyway, "moc tod lae ho tst ruh" wasn't visible in the email until I highlighted it. I tried to decode it:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It was ROT 3, then ROT 23, and gave "moc tod lae ho tst ruh", which is hurtstoheal.com. Just now getting ready to check it out.

Looks like this one is set to be a little intense.

To quote Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holiday: "That's just my game."

You get taken to a page with a graphic that is also a link. The graphic explains that it is a "live psychological study" to see if a group of strangers can keep someone they've never met alive for two weeks. Clicking it takes you to a page where you can give your information. The page is titled Engage The Study.

Nice find dude.

Okay one site, picture titled "timewediditmywayxx.jpg"

And the pic has some photos which appear to be an old farm house.

Message on the photo says

Quote:
Welcome to my live psych experiment. I'll be testing a lot of things. Most interestingly, whether a group of strangers can keep someone they've never met alive for two weeks.

it's signed Doc.

You click the pic it takes you to http://hurtstoheal.com/engage.html

Where it has some fields to fill in and a message which says:

Quote:
Here is where it begins. Watch your contact sources/spam filters for further instructions.

The fields are.

It does look interesting. I'm probably going to sign up for it. I just hope it isn't similar to The Final State.

What, we aren't all evil overlords? Did you not get the memo, man?! Laughing

EDIT: Although if we play well, this person will live, or at least that's the implication so far.

Well if it is, this guy has found a better way around the prospect.

Uh, that just did reverse operations, so you ended up with what you started. Laughing

I would be doing the same kinds of things. So used to having to decipher more complicated things, it's easy to forget something as simple as backwards text. Smile

I got this email as well. I actually just dismissed it as spam without any investigating, I really need to stop doing that.

ARGs have completely ruined my email security. I see an email now, like, "VitaminPlus: Where did she go?" and I think, "Well, it could be for an ARG. I mean, woman always go missing in ARGs, and women do indeed take vitamins. Makes sense!" So I click it, and it's for Viagra or Enzyte or some other spyware crap... Mad

I haven't started clicking the Viagra ads yet but I do read them now which is a start. In Fact I read this one too, then threw it out.
