maybe it was done on pourpose? maybe the government or TIDO found the monster it got loose or out of control and they were trying to blame the whole thing on tag? they fabricated or enhanced the pictures we're seeing now to add some believeability to their claims? if it was the US government, that would explain the quick mobilization...just a thought...

 		I'm pretty sure Tagruato is at fault here.

I mean Teddy sounded really scared in the tape he sent Jamie when he said they have found something or they're making something.
I don't think he was lying.

Tagruato is at fault.

Yes, the news footage is what I had been thinking of. And now, sitting here with a very painful sinus headache, I am thinking, perhaps Tag set out to destroy Clover because it was eating up the Deep Sea Nectar??? o_o You spray pesticides to keep insects from crops, I guess you explode drilling stations to protect... undersea... crops... I need some aspirin. >_<

 		if you look to the upper left you will also see 3 perpellers in the water with two light at the front. And in the video of the colapse of the station the get way boat only has one perpeller. So what is that craft????

I assume you are talking about the small submarines? I see three in the picture- One shining light on Clover's head, one shining light where Clover's tummy tubes would be, and one at the left, not shining light on anything particular.

Unless the beastie was eating up enough that it would cost as much to build a new station as it would to keep letting it devour their nectar. I mean, it's pretty big and all, but ... if they were trying to destroy it on purpose I think it's more likely that it was because they inadvertently created it and they wanted to erase the evidence.

Ah, yes, did not think of that~ But, perhaps... I mean, Clover is very big. Itf it even was eating the DSN or whatever produced the DSN, it had to have been alot. Perhaps it was cheaper to (try to) kill it with their own rig than to let it continue. That, and I do not believe Tag made Clover. Or maybe they did and the DSN made it giant. My head hurts far too mcuh to continue thinking. >__@

Yeah, I don't personally think they made it if it's supposed to have been asleep under the sea for centuries and all that, but they still might have been trying to destroy it if they woke it up by accident. Then again, considering the monster's resistance to everything they threw at it in the film – if Tagruato were aware of how resilient it was, they might have been trying to subdue it for capture rather than totally destroy it.
