I'm not saying we were meant to find a password – I'm saying that I think it's not unreasonable to assume that there is no password as far as the in-game characters are concerned if there's no password for us.

It's possible that's not the case and they might add something later, but if so then it's kind of sloppy and unrealistic of them.

the password will come. sooner or later. and it'll lead us to some very interesting shit no doubt. shit that isn't even on the page right now, but will be once the log in is released. and we'll all think it's been there the whole time. clever way to allow themselves more time to create whatever is gonna be in there.

I gathered some information together, are these facts? If not tell me:


The sister of the famous Teddy Hanssen, Alyse Hanssen, created a blog and a campaign to find her brother. Teddy was a member of TIDOwave and got captured by Tagruato when he was on a mission to find out the secrets behind Chaui Station. He was held hostage there.

She posted a few things to find out what happened to her brother and she got in a discussion with a CIA agent. He would send her the missing files that she was looking for that would answer her "prayers". With "prayers" they probably mean the question: "What happened to Teddy?"

The website contains three pictures:

This one shows the monster at Chaui Station (Probably after it got destroyed, you also see a Submarine/Support tower with a Tagruato logo on it).

On this picture you can see the parasites walking on the bottom of the ocean.

This is a transcript of two Tagruato employees talking to each other. Its not yet sure if this was before the attack, or after.

I got that from Cloverfield-clues.

With the eco-terrorist they mean the TIDOwave members. They probably got killed according to the transcript. This discussion was probably held while they were using the submarine you see in the other pictures. 4767 would be the Submarine, and Atsumi would be a Tagruato member thats operating from somewhere else.

I don't think it's that clever of them, if we can work out that there's no password, you know? Sure, it might buy them more time or whatever, but it still ruptures the verisimilitude. :c

Just a nitpick- I still think the parasites are on Clover's body, not the ocean floor. The way the light reflects, you know?

I don't remember the CIA agent giving her the /access.htm link, only the usgx site, 'we' found the access pictures.

And I agree with the Second Picture being Clover's body, the 'ground' doesn't look like ocean floor, there's no sand it seems, just a smooth'ish' surface with bumps here and there.

Also, those Parasites don't seem Too upset over the sudden presence of Light where there used to be none.

^ I would imagine that, at that depth, their eyesight is very diminished (I have no idea how to justify Clover's appearantly decent eyesight ^^;;; ). Heh, perhaps the parasite's horrible noise is a kind of echolocation?

I get the feeling no username of password exist. I mean what happens when you try to log in? "you don't have permission". No invalid username or password. Just that it doesn't matter.

I certainly am more excited than ever if this site pans out to be the link to Clover's origination/explanation.

I understand that JJ wanted to present a monster movie with a humanistic side, but I really want to know more about the monster (i'll admit it)
