Ok what is with the break in the film? It happens twice... has anyone tryed to extract the image/s? also, it breaks a third time and shows the first feed from the cameras of bex on the bed with pics everywhere.

Looks like a steg of some sort, but I haven't got any software capable of extracting it.

A SPEC on my part, based on previous messages, and now this "sign up", is that the Doc was expecting more people to be involved. He's trying to get more folks following. And perhaps if we don't get enough, BEX doesn't wake up.

Also, he may use our e-mail addresses to contact us with info for the scavenger hunt. We might all have specific things we have to find, separate of the rest.

ya, I was thinking that there might be person specific tasks, esp. since he asked for location, maybe even from looking at the "abilities" thread, but then maybe not.

Can someone post a link to the IRC for me, I'm lost!
I'll be up at midnight to see the start and do what I can, but tomorrow will be spotty, I should be around again tomorrow night to help finish things up though.

I agree with Callista. We still have plenty of time, so we'll see if any new information comes out, but if not we should probably come up with some kind of line-up for each team maybe about an hour to an hour and a half before midnight EST.

I think this may very well be based on the internet, rather than being a physical scavenger hunt. Though it is possible to be BOTH! I've seen Googlemap games where people are given a group of photos, and they must figure out where the pictures are taken and then go out and get another photo of the place and submit it. Just a possibility. Maybe another appointment in the chat to nail down some ideas?

BTW, anyone who knows me knows, Wolverine is the ONLY character for me! Laughing Twisted Evil

Hey guys. MonkeyMan here from HTH. Finally "officially" joined uF even though I have been reading along from the beginning. FTR, I voted yes to dividing into groups. Even though it might not be necessary in the beginning I still think we should be prepared if need be.

I vote yes. Being unorganized could cause our failure very quickly in this game.

MAP/Teams

I think teams should be by area, so if you haven't added yourself to this map, then pls do. I'll post a list of maybe four groups of where everyone is at, but I dont think it's mandatory or anything to join a certain team. Anyone can be on any team they wish, I just think it would be helpful to know who is nearest to your area.

http://mysite.verizon.net/resyl1tf/id5.html

*still don't think we need teams, just trying to be helpful while we wait. & Doc can take his organizational comment and {(*^%#^*()} because I think everyone has been doing a great job so far. All the argueing stopped when we finally had something to work on. So, carry on.

I would say, for the purposes of organizing, Google Docs are fantastic. We could create a spreadsheet and share it out. Many people can edit it all at once--so if we need to list a bunch of items to be found, they can be added, and links (to online sites, photos, whatever) can be added. Each of us can view what has already been found, thereby not duplicating completed efforts.

May not be useful, depending on the details of the hunt, but thought it worth mentioning.

Location: Canada, eh?

I think dividing by area is a bad idea. The teams would be drastically uneven.

Anyhow, I highly doubt this is a physical hunt, once again, because not only would it leave most of the members unable to participate (seeing as the location of the PM is most likely Simcoe), it's just unrealistic.

I think we should divide randomly, in equal parts. Is there an online application for drawing straws? lol

Ya, the Google Docs are an excellent idea for keeping organized, you can just check things off once they are completed

@Callista
All of this speculation must be part of the study. Everyone flipping out about 'what might happen' ..... OK, again, you can join ANY team you want. Chill. There aren't even teams yet. Read ^ again. Thanks.

Alright I've signed up but it looks like I'm probably going to be pretty out of the loop for the first few hours considering I live in the U.K and midnight EST is like 5am for me.

I also agree that being divided in groups by area is a slightly bad idea for the above mentioned reason. I've declined to vote though, I'll swing w/ the majority.

@Coffee... Not to be argumentative but CallistaT wasn't 'unchilled' lol, she just gave her opinion as I have *shrug*

Edit: Besides I'm like the only person in the UK Sad lol

well I looked at the broken frames, there doesn't seem to be a second picture mixed in, but rather just blocks of the frame mixed up like a slide puzzle. There are 10 frames like that, plus the static scene, all linked on this
wiki page.

If anything, there might be a pattern to the mixed up parts, but it's not easy trying to figure out which are in the right place and the wrong place. I gave up after a couple of minutes Razz

Secondly, if you need a place to organize tasks and people, well... that's precisely what the wiki's for, no? Wink
