What if that truck is pulling out onto the street making a wide left turn?

Then it would still be in the US; he'd be on the right side of the road.

Coffeebean thanks for the image you posted. Seeing it from that perspective is helping me in searching.

Following Nighthawk's train of thought for now, here is a list of famous US cemeteries. Maybe somebody could check these on Google Earth to see if any of them match up?

Famous US cemeteries wrote:
Arlington National Cemetery - military cemetery established during the American Civil War on the grounds of Robert E. Lee's home, near Washington, D.C..

Calvary Cemetery, East Los Angeles, California

Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills Cemetery, Los Angeles, California - resting place for Liberace, Lucille Ball, and Buster Keaton

Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Glendale, California - satirized in Evelyn Waugh's novel, The Loved One.

Gettysburg National Cemetery, in Pennsylvania, at the dedication of which in November, 1863 President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address.

Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York - Samuel Morse, William March "Boss" Tweed, F.A.O. Schwarz and Jean-Michel Basquiat are among the burials here

Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, Culver City, California - Al Jolson, Jack Benny and Milton Berle are buried here

Hollywood Forever Memorial Park Cemetery, Hollywood, California - burial place of Mel Blanc

Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, California - Bing Crosby, Lawrence Welk, Bela Lugosi are among the Holy Cross residents

Home of Peace Cemetery, East Los Angeles, California- two of the Three Stooges were interred here

Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California

Mount Auburn Cemetery[?], Cambridge, Massachusetts - bird, plant, and tree sanctuary, featured in the first version of the film, The Thomas Crown Affair.

Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, Hollywood Hills, California[?]

Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Chatsworth, California[?]

Park Cemetery[?], Fairmount, Indiana - burial place of James Dean

Punchbowl[?], Honolulu - military cemetery of the Pacific, in the Punchbowl Crater of an extinct volcano known as Puowaina, Hawaiian for "Hill of Sacrifice."

San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, California

St. Louis Cemetery #1,#2,#3[?], New Orleans - burial place of Marie Laveau, Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, and many notable pirates and politicians. Because the city is below sea level, graves in New Orleans cemeteries are above ground.

Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, New York - scene of Washington Irving's tale of Ichabod Crane.

Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee

Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery, North Hollywood, California[?]

Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, Westwood, California - Marilyn Monroe, Frank Zappa, and Billy Wilder are buried here

Woodlawn Cemetery, The Bronx, New York - Duke Ellington, Herman Melville, and Joseph Pulitzer are among those buried at this Woodlawn

Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Santa Monica, California

Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee

Also, there had better be at least one Odin in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery.

Moving down the list using Google Earth, I don't think it's either Arlington or Calvary. Should we break this list into parts?

Have been searching European(mostly Mediterranean) cemeteries for many hours now unbroken. May have missed info.

Is there some info I've missed ruling them out? Happy to search in U.S. also if someone can say it's definitely not Europe. Thanks.

Well, we can't say it's "definitely" not Europe...

It shouldn't be this difficult. I'm assuming it's a common cemetery and not some backwater locale. I've tried all the "usual suspects" on Google and couldn't find a match.

Guys, I'm going to be offline most of the day probably (son's birthday party). Somebody take over the list and submit it to our dear Doc later. Best of luck trying to find this last place.

But not to put pressure on everyone... if we do fail, she dies. I hardly consider 23 out of 24 a "failure", but Doc might think otherwise.

amandel, the thought was that the cars are driving on the right so it's more likely to be US.

LOL@ Nighthawk have fun and don't think for a moment about a young woman's very existence while scarfing down cake and ice cream. Wink

Also thought it would turn up on a stock photo site but no luck there either.

Thanks very much Night and Tres. Those who began at midnight must be truly exhausted. For what it's worth though all cars drive on the right all over the European land mass(except British Isles).

I'll check back more frequently for input and search wherever needed.
Am going to enlarge the image again to check auto sizes.

I am sure Doc will settle for nothing less than 24.

My friend mentioned something about Manhattan and freeway. Anyone with google earth cares to hit that up? We have been stuck on this for almost 12 hours.

That's a good idea amandel and thanks also for the driving info. There doesn't seem to be anything distinguishing about this photo to pin it down.

If I make it through the famous cemeteries list, I'll try Manhattan. If you don't yet have Google Earth, it's quite an amazing tool.

I agree. He doesn't seem like the type to go, "Oh well, you got most of 'em, I'll let it slide." Whether we consider it a failure or not, I think it's a pretty safe bet to assume that if we don't find this place, Bex is in for one very long nap.

This is a stretch, but maybe the pictures are like one of those message things? Like it might be: famous doctor of darkness, spiritual, inspiring, creative, movement of death...

Heh I don't know, just throwin it out there.

Let's not fret but work with firm determination. Fear makes us lose focus.
