Looking at the first names, Charles Albert Darwin, I was thinking Charles Darwin, and Albert Einstein.... searching for Einsteinium on youtube lead me nowhere.

Then it dawned on me to try abbreviated versions of randomknowledge, and here's what I stumbled upon...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.youtube.com/user/ranknow That's Dr. Gough!
The title is Nobelium. I suppose this is the answer to the flickr Nobel Prize medal puzzle.

Whoa, holograms that can touch stuff! EDIT: Holomove, i get it!...

Nice find!

EDIT: maybe thats how Dr. Gough came to his demise (if he did, or maybe he was injured and is now hiding)... how else would his results never make it out?

HOLY!

Wow....

*begins grumbling*

Sheesh, if it weren't freaking midnight, I'd transcribe that and watch it over and over and over...

Looks like we know how he died, or perhaps was seriously injured!!!

Chixor has a physics friend look at the set up and said it was believeable.

Massive impressive. I was wondering the same thing in chat. Is "AJ" our mysterious randomknowledge?

I'm guessing that the 2nd digg image was a play button referring to playing a video on youtube.

I'll tell Nate - it seems like (OOG) the blog is there for us to tell him what is happening - after all, he is the unsuspecting guy caught in the middle, and (IG) any decent person who stumbled on this would warn him right away.

P.S. I kinda already emailed Nate before I read the message...

OK, the Los Alamos National Labs is beginning to make a little more sense.

http://periodic.lanl.gov/elements/102.html

I got side tracked by the digg site and didn't dig deeper into the subject of Alfred Nobel.

Notice the third image on the navigation bar on this page: http://periodic.lanl.gov/default.htm

Looks like the hand with the orange from the video.

Nice work, driz! Pretty cool stuff.

This just occurred to me a bit ago. Dr. Eugene Gough. E. Gough. Dr. Ego. Meh, maybe I just need sleep.

Thanks, Sylvia! That helped me out.

Found the connection between one of our digg-ers and youtube

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
According to his page, Mr. Booher represents the 102nd district in the Michigan state senate. The atomic number for Nobelium is 102.

And enaxor found a connection to a second digg-er

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Albert Hoffman died at the ripe old age of 102.

the periodic table pic indicates H is important so now it leaves
HDO, HCN, HNC, HCO

The bent shape is characteristic of 3 component Oxygen compounds,
us to narrow it down even further:
HDO (monodeuterated water), HCO (formyl radical)

Both are mentioned in a paper involving astrophysics and.... you guessed it... lasers!

http://www.rsc.org/publishing/journals/article.asp?doi=ft9908603837

and beyond that, no clue...

Wow... I think my AP Chem score should retroactively get bumped up from a 2 to a 3 for remembering enough to make that connection 9 years after failing the AP exam. Wins! With lasers!

Ok so now we know what lasers has to do with everything... I'm still thinking about all the research I did on slow food to put my fake resume together... I thought it was interesting that he was using holograms to manipulate food... specifically an orange i think. Which brings me back to the question of what they need a Chef for...

Also we might be able to extrapolate which of the who molecules it is based on the sizes on the atoms in the logo. And by we, I me someone other than me.

I'm guessing the exact compound is going to be important.

One more final thought... the packages some of you received contained a package from was was essentially orange juice with the logo stuck on top. Perhaps the compound is contaminating the orange juice or the drink package is the missing link between the company logo/molecule and the company needing a slow food chef.
