That description of Fringe is very, very bland.

I'd recommend checking http://fringe-online.net/ for a better description. I actually got notified that my old friends here at uF were onto the trail already by the people at F-O.

It's best summed up in one sentence by the show's psuedo-tagline. "What if the world was someone's personal science experiment?"

Has alot to do with Psuedoscience. (Astral projection, genetic mutation, invisibility, artificial fertility, etc. The kind of crackpot stuff people normally call crazy.)

EDIT: If the previous poster was thinking of X-Files.. It's kind of like X-Files, except that it's not paranormal/unexplained things. It's basically stuff that IS possible, just at the "fringe" of modern scientific research.

FWIW, another possible piece of evidence connecting this to Fringe. I'd started a Fringe blog w/forum, and back on May 14th a mystery poster named "aluala" left a post in the fringe forum pointing to the Holomove ARG:

The post is here: http://www.nabble.com/Corrupt-a-Wish-tp17189916p17225114.html

I didn't think much of it then, but now that Fox's future blog is hinting at a connection, maybe aluala was trying to clue me in?

Looks like we've been revealed to be the marketing campaign behind Fringe eh? I should expect a sudden rush of lurkers right about......NOW!

I figured this story was connected to something with commercial value - the production value and financing for the launch was too big for grassroots.

If it does turn out to be part of a TV show, well, how cool is that????
I mean, we might be PART of the show? Wouldn't that be way trippy? That what we do could show up in the storyline on national tv?

What a way to really go multimedia! I would not be dissappointed at all.

That would be quite interesting. That might tie into the job application.

The job application made me think more like marketing for some software coding thing (how they stuck in TWO questions about those programs - asking if we had ever heard of them or what we thought about them). There was nothing on that application that pointed me towards the premise of Fringe. So that is why I questioned the initial link to the show.

Ohhh riiiight! X-Files... that's it! Thanks for reminding me! I'd nearly forgotten a series I followed compulsively for years! Very Happy

Thx for the better description though. Sounds pretty cool. There's no such thing as a new idea anyway...

And now we have an explanation of the high budget and even multicam death scene hehe

From what I can see, Holomove might be the company one of the characters in the show works for. Either that or that company that funds Holomove.

Maybe Holomove, a Holographic Interfaces company, is a curtain for Dr. Bishop's research? Maybe he faked Holomove to get funding for his research, or maybe it's a company trying to shut him down.

Who knows.

Right now, one of the promo posters for Fringe (The one with the person(Homunculus? Artificial life is a fringe idea, so it's possible.)) has text hidden in it, which appears to be an article on the death of someone. I have the feeling that the death scene you guys found here has to do with it.

I'm still not seeing a link between Holomove and Fringe.
Here is a description of the pilot script.

A corporation called "Prometheus" is mentioned on the wiki article.

None of the characters in the show have been mentioned in the ARG.

Unless Holomove is eventually a company that these FBI agents will end up investigating in the future.

Also... it seems odd that an ARG promoting a TV show has the poorest production value on its video segments. The blogs and websites are all way more convincing.

The one with the blurry newspapers and the person walking at the bottom? Where'd you find the hidden text?

So, what is Fringe?

Drama "Fringe," from Abrams' Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, revolves around a young femme FBI agent who works with an offbeat scientist to tackle cases involving unexplained medical and scientific phenomena.

Question Question

Hey Fox, Bones called, they want their gimmick back. And with JJA involved... yeah, I expect full blown Cloverfield buzz, eventually.

Holomove is either a Fringe(Most likely), Terminator(Makes no sense to be honest.) or Dollhouse(Least likely. What the heck is it anyway?) ARG. Those are all the tags it was under.

I'm as skeptic as you guys are about the Holomove-Fringe link, but there's no planned Terminator ARG as far as we know(Nor Dollhouse, but that's a given) and Fringe's ARG was just recently confirmed.("You're not looking hard enough.")

Or, maybe, the tags have nothing to do with it and it's really a Hell's Kitchen ARG.

Pizza, anyone?
