I don't care what pants they wear. O' God, The Aftermath is a great album. Music's about music in case any of you forgot. A lot of great bands dress like douchebags, who cares, it's not a fashion contest. Now, the bands who make a big deal of how they look to feel cool, yeah, that's gay.

30 Seconds to Mars (first album mostly) , Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Tool.
All great bands.
I can't believe my little thread has grown so big. hahah

i used to like the softer stuff that you listed..
but it just has to be hardcore now.
i cant stand pussy vocals.

Clean vocals don't mean pussy vocals. And most of those hardcore kids are just pussies with X's around their name.

I listen to all types of things. I hope you can look back at that statement in a few years and laugh. There's good music of all kinds. Clean vocals or not.

And if you're calling Nails, Tool, or A Perfect Circle pussy, then I'm probably not gonna understand you're point of view.

Dashboard Confessional is pussy. My Chemical Romance is pussy. Those 3 bands up top are definitely not.

Just saying there's probably a big difference between what we would call 'pussy vocals'. Try Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt. The minute you think he's spitting out pussy vocals he'll switch it up and his growl will slap you upside the head like a ton of bricks. That motherfucker can growl.

He's doing what he thinks nails should be doing right now. In my eyes he hasn't made a mis-step yet. And I don't think any highschoolers whose introduction to nails was 'bite the hand that feeds' needs their opinion heard in this discussion. Of course they were better on Downward Spiral, but the fact that he's still going strong, writing great tunes, is pretty amazing considering the longevity of the band.

Internet: thats in no way a jab at you. I've just seen a lot of nails hating in this thread, and I don't think it's should be taken with any credibility considering it's coming from kids who listen to nothing but 'scream verse-sing chorus' bands. Metalcore is really starting to get laaaaaaaaaame.
