I disagree with both of them. I'm SURE she's fully and completely up her own ass in her beliefs. Half of their albums are just creepy noises while she rambles on ENDLESSLY. I always end up skipping half the cd cause I'll like one tune then by the time the next one comes it's all "*creeeeeek* why did daddy touch me there? *drip drip* i hate my life".

But Jamey from Hatebreed sounds like a big dumb knucklehead sometimes. So I dunno. Don't know how much I like either of those bands anymore. Hatebreed bores the crap outa me now. Weird cause I used to really like em.

Listening to: Foo Fighters - Enough Space

I'd agree that jamey is a knucklehead, except he's probably one of the best entrepreneurs out there. I mean, who could manage their own clothing line, manage their own record label, host a television show, and be the frontman of a grammy-nominated hardcore (i use that term loosely) band? Plus, hatebreed isn't really known for talent. They've said it themselves, they are really a meat-and-potatoes band.

Listening to: In Flames - Take this Life. Not the best of in flames, but still enjoyable.

My guess is this thread is officially dead, but I have nothing better to do so I'm gonna be a dick and keep posting till i'm bored with it.

Listening To: Scissorfight - Acid For Blood

Mindless Self Indulgence concert was extremely gay. The most homosexual experience of my life thus far. Though I should've known it was also gay pride week here in Toronto, and with that combined with the crowd already at an MSI concert... wow. Though i never feared for my butt. Judging by the crowd I could beat up all the dudes, but the chicks would break me in half. Lotsa military looking bitches. haha. Fun shit though.

Not the best In Flames, but definitely not the worst.
Edit: Fuck! That made me wanna listen to the album. So I'm skimming through not really liking that much and I get to the title track. It starts with what sounds like one of those great In Flames acoustic intros, but then it turns into probably the worst song of their's I've ever heard. I guess I either forgot about this or never heard the whole album. But by christ this is putrid.

Ya, I will say that Hatebreed do what they do well, and sometimes the occassion calls for a bit of their stuff. Not getting deleted, just on the backburner for a while so I can catch up on classic rock shit before camping.

Fuckin eh! Canada Day tomorrow! Nicely cutting the work week down the middle. Very enjoyable.

Edit: Don't see the movie Wanted. It's incredibly dumb. I loved Shoot 'Em Up, but this movie just expects that we're all stupid. It's not tongue in cheek crazyness, just dumb. Long explanation and I'm not writing it all down. Check the bad reviews, they're right.

I actually didn't mind wanted. Thought it was gonna be a 5 star and it was FAR from that, but i didn't think it was downright terrible. Definitely no shoot em up, but i don't think it was trying to be that, this was actually loosely based off of something serious. My only beef was just about every dope action scene (which is what we all saw the movie for right?) was shown in the trailer. Damn, i hate movie trailers.

one of my many complaints with the movie is that every possible cool action sequence is in slow motion. i don't know if they thought it would look cooler than regular speed, but it pissed me off. everything looked too CGI.

i've got a LOT of problems with that movie and i will say that it's terrible. i was kind of liking it at the beginning. then it just turned into the matrix. the whole story is lifted from matrix really. some loser has great super abilities he doesn't know about and trinity comes and saves him from the real world where she takes him to morpheus who brutally trains him to harness his powers and teches him to dodge bullets. or in this case, make bullets dodge other stuff.

i guessed the twist from the beginning of the movie (i am NOT one of those dicks who's says that about every twist in movies, i hate those people. haha). but all those things aren't even my main problem. my biggest complaint is that the idiot writers never bother to explain why these people are assassins or who they work for. are they given orders from someone political, terrorists? we're never told, because the people who made this assume we're all too dumb to care about story as long as there's loud noises and shiny things.

man i could go on and on. like, why did morgan freeman not see a giant X made out of post it's under his feet? they would've crinkled when he walked on em. and even still, why in the middle of the day is no one in this office but the guy's double? and how did he get a double? he has no money, no home, nothing. did he pay him? how? his bank account was empty.

and don't get me started on the 360 degree suicide bullet. it would still be spinning around the room right now. arg! bad movie, dressed as a cool action movie.

Haven't you seen the dave chapelle where he says everything looks better in slow motion? If you haven't, i suggest you check it out...it's absolutely hilarious, and pertains to this aspect of the movie directly.
I didn't really feel as if it was like the matrix during the movie, but now that you say it, they do have similar elements. Again...didn't much mind it.
The twist wasn't much of one, and this is coming from someone who can watch the shittiest movie in the world and if it has a twist, i'll love it (ex. Smokin' Aces).
Morgan Freeman probably just thought that this man was doing an office job that required sticky notes in an X. I mean, everyone does this, right? I actually have numerous X's around the office made out of sticky pads, not out of the ordinary at all.
To me, this was a mindless action movie and for that reason, i didn't think about a lot of the details that were obviously lacking. The only thing i really expected was sweet action scenes, which for the most part, it delivered. Will it be on my top 10 must-buy's for this year? Hell no...but it was an enjoyable view imo.

i just would've liked to see some of that slow mo at regular speed, like the good ol' action movies like Die Hard. if he did that super car flip/shoot through the sun roof at regular speed that would've looked incredibly cool. but instead it just kinda looked like every other matrix style action movie.

but oh well, we saw it at a triple bill drive in with Increible Hulk and Forgetting Sarah Marshall (which ain't really a chick movie, and very funny), so i didn't feel ripped off. maybe just a little pissed that i've now given money to the people who made Wanted. Now i'm perpetuating more shitty action movies along with everyone else. drats.

Listening To: Beck - Modern Guilt (new album is great)

And ya, I think I've seen all the Chappelle episodes, probably too many times now. They're all great but I've played them out a bit much for now.

Yeah, i feel ya. I just bought season 2 the other day because it was on sale for $16, so i've been getting my fix. Good shit when sober, but it's like an all new show when intoxicated!
I'm really looking forward to dark knight and step brothers. Looks like it should be a pretty dope movie month.

Don't know what Step Brothers is but I'll definitely be seeing Batman.
Was arguing with my girlfriend cause she says after Iron Man and Incredible Hulk she's put up with enough superhero movies and refuses to go to that one. haha. I keep saying 'nooo, it's not like a regular super hero movie, it'll be really good', but there's no convincing. maybe i'll sneak it in another double bill. 'Hey that movie was good huh? wonder what's next... oh my stars, well what dya know, it's Batman... Well since we're already here...'. hahahaha. I'll work something out.

Man, i'm still pissed about Wanted. It's helping set the bar REAL low for action movies in the future. Shaky cam rules the land and I bite my lip as the whole world enjoys pointlessly shakey action scenes. RRrrrr!

I think I have had enough of Will Ferrell. He seems to always play the same charachter. I saw that there will be a Sherlock Holmes movie with Will Ferrell, and Sasha Cohen (ali g). I bet that is going to be really annoying.
I can't wait until Batman comes out. That and Hellboy. I am so glad that technology finally caught up to comic book movies.

Will ferrell has gone downhill since his glory days of old school and anchorman, but his movies still continue to make me laugh...step brothers looks like it could be genuinely funny. I wouldn't ever say he plays the same characters though. I wouldn't ever say that mugatu is like ricky bobby is like ron burgundy.
I'm kinda on the line for hellboy. It looks pretty, and is directed by pan's labyrinth (not one of my favs, but it looked pretty as well), but i found the last hellboy to be pretty bad. Luckily if it's terrible it's got a few movies that i can overshadow it with.

Anyone looking forward to the new mummy? Haha, they're always so terrible that they're somehow simultaneously good. I hate the entire cast and the story is always so shitty, yet i never want to turn it off!

I could give a shit liess about the mummy, but Batman and Hellboy seem great. I really did like the first Hellboy and I'm not sure why most people claim not to. Del Toro is an amazing director. Check out The Devil's Backbone if you get the chance. Great, original ghost movie. It's in spanish (i think) though so if you're not into subtitles then avoid it.

I'm off and on with Will Farell. Against my better judgment i checked out Ricky Bobby and laughed myself retarded. I never thought it's be so funny. Then I saw Blades of Glory, which was pretty funny, then i saw Semi Pro which was a little less funny. So maybe his movies are going downhill but not at an alarming speed. He's still getting relatively funny roles, and he's still MUCH funnier than when he was on SNL. That cheerleader sketch with that seriously unfunny pointy nosed chick made me want to punch him repeatedly.

As long as none of you tell me the Love Guru or Zohan were hilarious, I'll continue to trust your taste in comedies. haha.

Didn't see love guru or zohan, they both looked pointless.
Ferrell has some really good SNL skits...the cheerleader one is definitely not one of them. Robert Goulet and celebrity jeopardy usually had me laughing pretty good. Have you seen anchorman or old school or zoolander? Some of his best for sure (especially anchorman).

Those were great ones. But they are pretty old now that I think of it. He did have some good SNL skits, but the rest of the cast often killed some of his best stuff. the women they had for that era were just awful. not one of them funny.

all these new comedies look really bad though. Poor Mike Myers.
What was really funny was Dewey Cox, which i REALLY wasn't expecting to like. You see that one?
