Naw, i used the bug-eyed face because i was just a little creeped out that we were listening to the same song. I dunno if they still have fans...i just put on my rock playlist and it came up. It's a pretty shitty playlist, i need to go through and take out all of the boring alt rock songs (which comprise 90% of the damn thing).

I've been telling this to all fans of pop punk. Try out a band called A (just the letter A). If you like Blink then you like upbeat summery shit, and these guys do it the best I've ever heard. Anything from the album Hi-Fi Serious is a good place to start (besides the first track which is a bad example of their sound, but still a great song). Trust me, you WILL like it. haha.

I'm really not a fan of pop punk. Or i guess i should say i enjoy it in small doses. I think that's mostly because green day and new SOAD absolutely ruined it for me. I can still listen to the older shit (blink, sum 41, etc.) because that was before political pop rock became the norm, but anything new is no thanks for me. I'll check out that A band though.

Listening to: All Shall Perish - Prisoner of War (i play the shit out of this song)

You'd call System of a Down pop punk? Wow, how far lost are they? haha

'A' isn't pop punk, but it's got elements of it. No whiney singing. The band's British and the dude has a really cool, heavy accented singing voice. If possible take a listen sometime. I can't believe they didn't explode onto radio, it's some of the catchiest music I've ever heard. In the good way, not like an Eminem song that gets stuck in your head. hahah.

Listening To: Nonpoint - Double Stakked

I'd say that some of their more recent songs (like BYOB) have a lot of similarities with pop punk. Has absolutely no connection to older greats like Sugar and Chop Suey.

Funny part about the bit about eminem is i'm listening to him right now...

Oh man, I can't stand him.
I dunno whether i listened to his first album because I as younger and into diff shit, or just because i hadn't heard his voice ten billion times, but I can't stand him now. He's skilled enough, and that's why I used to like him, but there's very little rap I listen to and he's like the Nickelback of hiphop. I just don't even wanna hear that voice again. hahah.

And ya, System's oldest stuff is still amazing.

I listen to Blink 182 sometimes. They are my guilty pleasure. When I listen to them I usually pop in Dude Ranch or Cheshire Cat. Lately I have been back on my Face to Face kick.

Yeah, it's just what you grow up with i guess. I grew up with limp bizkit, eminem, and blink, and as awful as some (or in the case of limp dickspit, ALL) of their songs are, i still like em. It's sickening, really.
Everyone have a decent weekend?

Boring ass weekend. Nothing worth mentioning I'm sure. I think there was an Ikea trip in there somewhere. God I'm domesticated. hahaha

I guess I grew up around eminem (if by growning up you mean high school), but woulda never called myself a fan. After a while I just coudn't stand him anymore cause I was hearing him everywhere. My god, if I had to go back to the early 00's and hear all that eminem and nickelback again i might kill someone. hahaa.

I was definitely a limp dipshit fan, but always truly hated fred durst. i've always said the band would be great if they kicked him out and lost the rapping. Wes and the rest have a good sound, but it got manipulated into dumbed down rythyms that fred could rap over top of. Some of the guitar on the first and second record is so great, i wish i could find instrumental versions of those 2 albums. then rollin' came along and all hope was lost. haha. good thing wes is doin his own thing now. he's got black light burns and they're a pretty good band. not great, but not bad.

Listening to: Orgy (yeah, Orgy. haha) - Re-Creation
